Nothing happened the rest of the day. Florence went and changed and by that it had been time for dinner. So her and Casey went down and ate, Florence saw Nile at the slytherin table but decided not to talk to him. After they ate, the two girls went back to the common room and Florence went straight to bed. Hoping to forget about this terrible day.
Once again she was able to sleep. Casey shook her awake.
"Girl, get up now. You already missed breakfast but that doesn't matter." Casey said to her.
"Ugh, please just letting me sleep a little longer." She groaned and threw her head into her pillow, hair flying everywhere.
"No, I don't think you understand. Dumbledore and professor Sprout are in the common room. They were there when I got back from breakfast. Now get up!" Florence could hear the fear in Casey's voice and got up.
She threw on a Hufflepuff shirt and some sweatpants, they didn't have to wear there robes during the break. She threw her hair back into a messy bun.
"Let's go, I guess." She said to Casey.
"I'm nervous." Casey mumbled as they walked down the girls hall to the common room. "What do you think they want?"
"It can't be that bad." Florence whispered back. They were approaching the end of the hall.
"I hope your right." Casey said back.
They walked to the end of the hall to see professor Sprout sitting on the couch and dumbledore looking at the shelf above the fire, observing the many plants. Florence looked down at her wrist quickly she didn't have anything on it at the moment and she didn't think it looked that noticeable.
"Hello there girls." Professor Sprout said with her usual cheery voice.
"Good morning professor." They said in unison. They were still standing at the girls hallway entrance.
"Hello Florence and Casey. It's very good to see you both. Come take a seat." Dumbledore motioned to the two empty chairs.
They both took a seat and shared a nervous look with each other. Dumbledore continued to look at the plant and walk around the room. He started talking out of nowhere.
"Florence I am sorry to say but we have reason to believe your mother was taken." Dumbledore said calmly.
"What do you mean taken?" She asked him slightly confused.
"We can't tell you everything right now Florence but know your mother and father were a part of something big. They were helping lots of people and your mother didn't check in when she was supposed to." Dumbledore remained calm and continued to walk around.
"I don't understand why you can't tell me anything." Florence was getting really frustrating.
"Your parents asked me to never say anything to you. I am very sorry Florence but we thought you should at least know she's missing and we were also gonna see if you said anything to anyone about your mom." He said.
"So your saying my mother was taken and anything could be happening to her right now and you can't tell me anything!" Florence yelled at him.
"I am truly sorry Florence but I need to know if you told anyone about your mother." He asked again.
"You mean the woman I apparently know nothing about." Florence whispered barely audible. Her parents have been lying to her for most her life, she didn't know what to think anymore. She thought to herself, she told one person yesterday but there's no way he would do this.
"Florence? Please if you said anything we need to know." He seemed to know what she was thinking.
"I told one person. Nile the boy from our year from slytherin." She said fiddling with her hands. "I said she was staying in a cabin around hogsmeade. Thats it. I swear. Did I get my mom kidnapped?"
"No Florence for all we know anyone could have easily found her." Professor Sprout interjected into the conversation for the first time. "Girls everything you've heard do not repeat, ok?"
"Yes mam." They both answered.
They got up and started to walk back to their dorm room.
"Oh, and Florence don't try to go search for her. We will be doing everything we can." Dumbledore said walking towards the door with Professor Sprout. She paused and turned around for a moment.
He couldn't stop her, she was the reason her mom was taken she was going to find her.
