"We have to do something?" Florence said determined to find her mother.
"What? Did you not just hear him? Professor Dumbledore just said don't do anything. I'm not going to do anything!" Casey yelled back at her and closed the door to the dorm.
"We have to do something, it's my mom." Florence said, sounding slightly more defeated, plopping down on her bed. "I'm the reason she was taken I told Nile about my mom. I told Nile about my mom."
"Yeah I heard you the first time." Of course, Casey understood now. "You think Nile has something to do with it, don't you?" She looked at her friend. Florence has never looked so sad in her life not even when her dad has died.
"Do you really think he could do something like that? He's so nice and kind." Florence rubbed her head trying to understand everything. "How come the one guy I like is bad? Can't I have a good one just once?"
Casey thoughts consumed her for a second.
  "Maybe you can."
"What do you mean?" Florence full attention was now on Casey.
"Come on, you've always had the nice guy that likes you, you just never liked him back. But I've been watching you lately. You're starting to get feelings for the gryffindor aren't you?" Casey's lips curved into a slight smile.
Florence was at a lost of words.
"Look, you don't want to admit to me that's fine but at least admit it to yourself. And just maybe one day, him. He is a really good boy with really good intentions." Casey got up and readjusted her clothes. "I need to go to the library. I'll see you later." With that she picked up her jacket and left.
Florence sat in silence and her the common room door being shut moments later. Maybe Casey was right, the thought and everything with James had been because she liked him.
She sat for a moment then got up suddenly leaving the room. She had to find James, she wasn't sure what she would say when she saw him or what she would do she just knew she had to find him. Casey had been right just like always.
Florence ran out of the common room and rounded the corner and went towards the stairs.
"Hey, what's with the rush!" Nile called out to her, a cheeky smile on his face.
"Don't talk to me ever again!" She called back to him not even giving him a glance.
Florence thought he had taken a hint since she didn't hear feet coming up the stairs after she stopped at the top for a moment. She wasn't exactly sure where James would be. Oh! She knew exactly where he was. The place she had last seen him, the lake. Running for what felt like hours she stopped and looked through the window, spotting the whole group. There was lily laughing along side Bradie as James stood there in what looked to be as him acting something out to them. She saw lily falling over onto Bradie laughing as he laid back onto the tree.
Determinedly she walked through the large door towards the lake. Luckily James saw her and started walking towards her as the other two continued to laugh.
"Oh my, Florence what are you doing out here your going to ge-" Florence grabbed his face and kissed him. James didn't resist either after he realized what was happening he grabbed her waist and pulled her closer.
After an eternity their lips separated but neither let go. Florence hands slid downs James faces and onto his chest. James hand rest around Florence at the bottom of her back.
"Can I ask what that was for?" He said, the smile of satisfaction on his made Florence smile.
"I like you James. I like you a lot and I'm sorry it took me so long to realize that." She said feeling the redness creep onto her face.
"I like you a lot to. Oh and it was well worth the wait. That's for sure." Florence let out a little laugh, James still looked flabbergasted by what had just happened. "Maybe- Maybe we could go, you know on a, um..."
Florence couldn't stop the smile on her face. "Date?"
  "Yeah."
"Yeah that would be really good." Florence said slightly slipping out of his grasp. "I'll talk to you later James. I'm starting to get really cold. I hadn't really thought about that part when I came out here."
"Yeah, yeah we'll talk later. See you Florence."
They both turned and walked, Florence back to the castle, James back to his friends each one with a large smile on their face.
Florence turned around after she had made it about halfway to the castle. Lily was looking at her she nodded her head slightly, Florence returned the gesture. James was sitting by Bradie awestruck.
Florence laughed a little to herself and decided she needed to go to the library. She would have wanted to spend the rest of the day with James but there were more pressing matters.
And she needed to tell her best friend she had just had her first kiss.
