Ch. 13 The Black Dahlia Murder Case

Elizabeth Short was a non-talented actress by only a few people. At the age of 18 years old Short was a arrested for underage drinking. This was covered up to her death.

Her life goal was to be famous, and she got what she wanted, but just not the way she would have imagined.

The last day Short was seen was inside and outside of the Belmore Hotel.

On January 15, 1947 Short was found dead. She was horrifically mutated laying in a grassy patch in a Los Angeles residential neighborhood. The woman and daughter who found her were walking around Leimert Park.

When viewing Short her body was chopped in half laying only a feet away from both sides of her body. There was ligature marks on her wrist, pieces of her skin removed, and her body was completely drained of blood. Her once beautiful face was the most destroyed. Short mouth was cut from ear to ear. Permanently having the smile like Jokers on her face.

A week later the editor in Los Angeles received a call from someone who claimed to be the murderer. He stated that he kept souvenirs of hers and He will send them in the mail.

Only four days later the postal worker pulled a letter sent from the Examiner. Inside was your birth certificate, business card, photographs of her/family at her address book.

Sadly just like any other famous person is murder the public intercepted the case. This caused 12 people to be possible suspects and more than 60 people insisted they were the killers.

After weeks they found the murderer. His name was George Hill Model Junior.

After years of being held behind bars it has been told that George died with a congestive heart failure, but there is not current proof. Could it have been something or someone else?
