"So what do you like about Rosalia?" I heard Logan asked Gustav one afternoon.

They were in the veranda while I was behind them listening. Nanliit ang mata ko. I'm sure it's me.

"Because she's mine. Everything about her is lovely." Sagot naman ni Gustav. Uminit naman ang pisngi ko sa sinabi niya. His compliments are melting me. O baka katawan ko lang ang gusto niya? Nanlumo ako sa mga iniisip ko. Narinig ko naman ang tawa ng logan.

"What's funny Logan?" Parang galit na saad ni Gustav sa kanya.

Napa-ubo agad ito at tumigil.

"To tell you frankly Gustav, she isn't yours."

"What do you mean by that?" Madilim na tanong ni Gustav sa kanya. Patay ka Logan.

Magsasalita na sana si Logan, pero agad siyang pinutol ni Gustav. He is rude.

"Gusto mo ba siyang agawin sa akin?"

"Woah! Chill! Hindi ko tipo ang mga babaeng kagaya niya. Besides, hindi naman ako ang kaagaw mo sa kanya." Parang makahulugang sabi nito.

"Don't mention that name."

"Woah! I didn't mention anyone." Logan said and chuckled. "Triggered ka naman."

"Shut up. Mamaya samahan mo si Rosalia sa eskwelahan niya. Get all her school documents. Ita-transfer ko na siya." Utos bigla ni Gustav. My eyed widen at his statement. I didn't thought it would be this soon!

"You sounded like a sugar daddy there." Pang-aasar ni Logan sa kanya. Hindi ko na pinatuloy ang pakikinig sa kanila.

I slowly tiptoed back on Gustav's bedroom. Agad kong binagsak ang sarili ko sa malambot niyang higaan.

I've been missing on school for maybe 2 weeks? Siguradong hinahanap na ako doon! What if ma drop out ako? Wait magttransfer naman ako? O..my.. My project! And my contribution fee! Oh my god!

Hindi ko na alam na nagpagulong-gulong na pala ako sa kama. And when Stav arrive, he amusingly looked at me.

"Is your belly aching? May masakit ba?" He softly asked.

Gulat ko siyang tiningnan. He....cares?

"You and Logan will be going to school. Get all your school documents. You'll be transferred to a private school." Bigla niya namang sabi.

Natahimik ako. How can get it? I was absent for about 2 weeks. I'm sure I have miss a lot of quizzes, discussions, oral recitations, and assignments. Hindi pa nga ako nakapasa ng proyekto.

He tilted his head when I didn't respond. Why you think I would jump in delight?

"If you're worried about all the school stuffs you miss, well wag mo na iyong isipin. All was done."

Nanlaki ang mata ko sa sinabi niya. Hindi ako makapagsalita.

"Your project is done. I payed the contribution, and you are excused in school. Your teachers on every subject volunteer to give you handouts on every lesson you missed. Logan goes regularly on your school to pick them up."

Hindi ko na alam ang sasabihin. Should I say thank you or what?

"You can say thank you."

My eyes widen at what he said. Is he reading my mind?

"I can't read minds. Mind saying thank you?"

He is weird today. Bakit nasa good mood siya?

"T-thank you, G-gustav." Nauutal ko pang sabi sa kanya.

And he smiled! A genuine one. What's with this day?

"Welcome. Now dress up. Si Logan ang sasama sayo."

"Bakit hindi ikaw?" Biglang nalang lumabas sa bibig ko. Fuck? Am I starting to need his presence?

Ngumisi ito. Now he's with that devil face.

"Sadly, I can't honey. I have something to do involving business."

I nodded.

He kissed my forehead.

"Take care, my Rosalia okay?"

And again I nodded submissively.
