Verbs in Italian can be separated in to two different categories. Regular and Irregular. Regular verbs all follow the same patterns and can be further separated in to three sub categories. Regular verbs can be classified according to their infinitive endings.
-ARE
-ERE
-IRE
Irregular verbs do not follow a pattern and are harder to remember because of this.
With both groups of verbs, you need to conjugate them from their infinitive form ( the form that you find in a dictionary). There are six different verb conjugations for each verb depending on the subject.
io - I
tu - you
lui/lei - he/she
noi - we
voi - you guys
loro - they
when saying a verb you do not say the subject noun for example:
Canto - I sing
NOT
io canto
