A Railgun In Fairy Tail NXT: Book 2

The 7th Hokage and the Green Haired Warrior.

"So... what do we know about Naruto Uzumaki?" said Caulifla as she and Bakugou sat together around a large boulder. "What makes him tick?"

"Like.. nothing.. " said Bakugou with a grumble. "We know fucking nothing you wild girl.."

"HEY!!" Caulifla growled. "Listen.. the only reason I'm agreeing to work with ya.. is to beat that creep. Nothing more.. after we get the bell.. we settle who gets the bell ultimately in a final brawl between us!"

"FUCK YOU!!" Bakugou. "THATS HOW WE GOT INTO THIS MESS!!"

Caulifla froze. "Eh?"

Bakugou gritted his teeth furiously. "Listen.. I hate to admit this.. but.. this rivalry between us has done nothin' but make things worse.. shit yeah, there's only one bell.. screw that..  but if we keep on thinking about nothing but beating each other.. NEITHER of us are getting that stupid thing. "

Caulifla folded her arms silently.. then..

"Why do we hate each other?"

Bakugou blinked as if he didn't understand the question. "What?"

"You heard me.." Caulifla grumbled. "Why do we hate each other? I mean.. seriously.. I mean aside from you gettin' off at Tatsu sometimes, which pisses me off... I don't see any other reason why I should hate you that much.."

Bakugou shrugged. "I.. don't hate you.. "

Caulifla looked at Bakugou, surprise evident on her face. 

"To be honest... " Bakugou said. "I think you're kind of.. of.. cool.."

"Cool!? Me!?" said Caulifla.  "NAW!"

"You don't take shit from anybody.. and you're so quick to pick up new fighting techniques and ways to take on your opponent, it's crazy..  before we started beating each other up, ya figured out Cementos's openings in an instant.." said Bakugou. "Tch.. I used to be that guy.. before you came to this damn school.."

"So.. you were jealous..?" muttered Caulifla. 

"No.. just pissed... that I have to like a goddamn rival!!" Bakugou growled.

Caulifla's cheeks started turning pink. 

"WHAT!?" said Bakugou.

"N.. nothing.. just.. I never thought you considered anybody a rival.. ya kinda seemed too damn stubborn for that sorta thing.." said Caulifla quietly. 

Bakugou's cheeks turned a little pink as well.. and the duo hastily looked away from each other. 

"So.. how are we going to get those bells?" Bakugou muttered quietly

Caulifla put a finger to her chin. "You know when you think about it.. the two of us fight pretty much the same way..  we rush in head first.. and try to beat the crap out of our enemies directly.."

"Yeah? Your point..?" said Bakugou. 

"So.. Naruto's a NINJA.. he knows that's what we're all about, he did his darn homework before he laid this stupid test on us." said Caulifla.  "A Shinobi looks for the hidden meanings in the hidden meanings.. I get it now.. I think.. Hidden Leaf guys don't just run around hitting stuff.. they always lay traps.. get all tricksy, use our weaknesses against us so they don't have to raise a fist to even get us.."

"I feel like there's a 'but' there somewhere." said Bakugou. 

Caulifla grinned. "Miyo-chan knows Mr. Naruto more than I do.. she's said a few things about him.. apparently even though he's supposed to be the strongest.. he's not very good at a few key ninja stuff... like Genjutsu..  thing is, he's actually pretty hands on for a ninja.. something tells me when he's pushed.. he can't resist a good brawl.. I have a plan, but if it's going to work, we need to use that.. and one of us needs to take him.. one on one.."
