A beautiful girl with black reddish hair opened her silvery eyes.. blinking groggily as she sat up in her bed.
Her Dorm room met her gaze as she tried to rub the sleep off her face..
"What is.. going.. on..?" Ruby Rose muttered. "I..isn't it Saturday..don't we have a break today?"
Weiss Schnee, a white haired girl, with pale eyes, and a scar under her left eye was shaking Ruby awake in a panic.
"Come on.. get dressed.. hell don't even bother getting dressed. We need to get out of here.. Ozpin's issued an evacuation order already."
"HAH!?" Ruby exclaimed, jumping to her feet. "Wh.. what happened!? Where's Blake!?"
"She's headed off to find JNPR, they didn't come back last night!.. she'll meet us at the Dimension Port with the other evacuees. Yang's already expecting us at New Guild City.. "
"Again.. What's happened!? Weiss please, at least tell me what's going on!" Ruby yelled as Weiss grabbed a jacket off the shelf and forced it onto her friend before dragging her into the school's hallway, where students were already running around frantically, pacing and grabbing weapons.
"They came in the middle of the night.. in a matter of 4 hours... they absolutely obliterated all of the Atlas Forces that were helping to protect Vale.." said Weiss with a shiver. "Their army wasn't even the scariest thing about them.. it was their leader. He.. he almost killed Ironwood and my sister and they barely escaped. "
"An army..!?"
"Look Ruby, I'll explain when we're safe at Fairy Tail, just keep moving!" Weiss said as she continued to clench Ruby's wrist tightly, pushing the two of them out the front doors of Beacon Academy, the Remnant world's greatest School for Hunters. "The Dimension Port's just on the other side of town.. if we move quickly.. we can make it time before... before.."
Weiss froze.. as did the crowds of panicked students.. all of them ... staring at the same thing..
"Wh.. what is everybody looking a-.." Ruby froze as well.. as she saw the path to the Airship dock for Beacon Academy blocked by a massive procession.
Humungous skeletal Death Knights.. and undead warriors in golden armor were marching forward.. carrying a red banner with a gold coat of arms before them..
They marched to form a path.. holding the banners over the path in tribute as a large being walked through..
A humungous light armored insect-like being with massive claws.. and armor that seemed to look like a semblance between an exoskeleton and knight's armor.. came out of the procession.. In one of his four massive upperlimbs, he held a powerful large looking halberd.. and his body seemed to possess an immense icy chill.. almost giving the impression that his armor, while it looked like steel.. also could be made of ice.. he also possessed along tail, similar to that of a dragon.
