When the bell rings, Roman packs his stuff as quickly as he can manage without seeming rushed and easily slides across the classroom and out the door into the hallway. Releasing a breath, he rolled his shoulders, put on the all too familiar grin and headed down his territory.

He couldn't tell what exactly it was that had affected him so much from  his encounter with Logan earlier, but something gnawed at the back of his mind and even as he regained his posisition at the top of his group, leant against the lockers, he couldn't help but feel as though his ego or pride had been attacked somehow. He didn't really like this feeling.

Looking down as he felt someone grab onto his arm, he noticed that it was that same girl who had been obsessed over him earlier. She was determined he was going to give her that.

Logan, on the other hand, thought nothing of their conversation and only let himself focus on it once more when he had finished his work and packed his stuff away. Deliberately making sure that he went just a little bit slower, he ended up being the last student to filter into the stream of people known as the hallway.

Ensuring he kept his eyes focused on where he was going this time around, he began his practiced dance around groups and couples and individuals so that he could get to room 401.

As he got to the one section of the hallway that always created the most problems, he had to raise an eyebrow at how close Roman and the girl were.

Over compensating for what Logan had said earlier, no doubt. The pride of straight jocks can be so easily tainted, Logan thought as he shook his head and continued on past, for any minor suggestion against their sexuality and they suddenly feel the need to prove themselves with an increased heternormative sex drive.

Noticing Logan walk past, Roman discretely watched for a few moments before picking up his own bag from the floor and coming up with some bullshit excuse to do with getting in some extra rehearsal for his lines. Something still not sitting right in his chest, Roman winked at the girl who he had been endlessly flirting with for the past five minutes my before quickly following Logan down the corridor and arriving in the nearly empty classroom barely a couple of minutes after him.

Several books already set out on one of the desks, Logan glanced up from his seat and adjusted his glasses.

"I am aware that you may have a lesson or prior engagements however I merely thought we could establish what you require the most assistance with. I have a free period due to having my own study so it doesn't affect me greatly."

"I'm free now. Meant to have gym but they cut down my lessons so that I could focus on other work."

Raising an eyebrow towards Roman as he chucked his bag onto the floor and chose a chair, leaning back in it and running a hand through his hair, Logan couldn't tell if he was surprised or not. But the fact that they cut down his other lessons in order to compensate for how weakly he was performing in other departments really said something about Roman at this moment in time.

"In that instance, it would be beneficial if you told me at what point the work stopped making sense. That way I can determine where I need to begin from."

"It's not made sense since, like, forever. Can't remember a time when it did make sense."

Waving his hand in dismissal, Roman reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. He learned that it was easier to just not care about academics a long time ago, especially when you don't know what the hell is going on at any given moment.

Frowning towards Roman, Logan pushed his glasses up his nose and felt his thoughts wander. Never made sense? If it was simply Roman being lazy or the content becoming too difficult then there would be a clear time frame from which Logan needed to work. But by saying that he couldn't remember a time when it did make sense, Roman was certainly suggesting that this was something beyond being idle.
