~Trigger Warning~
Alcohol abuse, mentions of gambling

A small breath slipping past Logan's lips as they parted in disbelief, they both fell into complete silence. Somewhere to the side of them a bird was singing it's final tune before nestling away into a sanctuary, hidden in the branches of a tree and away from the darkness that was beginning to spill over the horizon.

"Oh."

Giggling, Roman looked down at the grass, feet shuffling the blades surrounding his shoes, soon looking back up at Logan's bewildered face.

"You can understand why I couldn't say anything before right? I was kinda not out and all that, bit difficult to admit you like someone one minute then must attack them a second later, ya know?"

Nodding automatically, Logan couldn't stop staring at Roman. He was expecting this to be a joke, for some people with cameras to jump out from behind the bushes and laugh at him for being naive enough to believe anyone like Roman could like him. He was expecting Roman to start laughing, pull away and talk about how amusing his face had been to look at. As if Roman would like him. But even as he trails off, his expression doesn't change and people don't slip out of the shadows and it's only then that Logan believes it.

"Lo? Sorry, I didn't.. did I upset you? I didn't mean to upset you."

"No, no you didn't upset me. It's simply.."

Placing his head onto a tilt as he kept his gaze directed towards Logan, Roman bit his bottom lip. A habit, Logan had noted, from when he was nervous or lying. How had he noticed that? Surely he didn't pay that much attention to everything Roman did.

"It's simply that I return those feelings. It's irrational, completely irrational, but despite everything I realised I had grown rather fond of being in your company. Naturally I didn't expect you to admit that the feelings are mutual but now that you have I'm not entirely certain what the appropriate response would be. I haven't previously had this occur so-"

Eyes widening, Logan fell silent as Roman leant down, cutting off his rambling by connecting their lips together.

If he was being idealistic his first kiss wouldn't have been in the middle of a park, it wouldn't have been immediately after admitting his feelings, it wouldn't have been with someone who was drunk and more then likely it wouldn't have happened at all. But despite all the flaws with all the dream he had in regards to what his first kiss would be like, he knew that he wouldn't swap this moment for anything. It may not be perfect at first glance but it certainly felt perfect in the moment and Logan cared for nothing more.

Fluttering shut his eyes, Logan leant into Roman's touch, feeling him put his arms around his shoulder and draw him closer.

He wasn't sure quite how long it lasted, but Roman only pulled away as he needed to breathe, resting their foreheads together and grinning broadly down at Logan.

"You know, I never thought my first kiss would be so nice."

Chuckling a bit, Logan tilted his head upwards so that he could see Roman's face properly. He wasn't sure anymore what to say, voice just about a hopeful whisper.

"Do.. do you think we could do that again?"

Smiling wider, Roman bought one of his arms up from around Logan's neck, gently caressing his cheek. Leaning down to meet Logan, Roman immediately closed his eyes as they kissed, bringing his as close as he could manage with only one arm.

This time around, Roman let go of the control - something he very rarely did - and gave it all to Logan. Letting him decide what to do, how far to take it, when to pull away. Equally surprised at the power suddenly handed to him, Logan let himself slip into a sense of ease, safety, refusing to pull away until his lungs were screaming for oxygen and he had no choice but to disconnect their lips and takes heavy breaths, putting their foreheads together once more.
