It All Started With One Stupid Mistake

Chapter 3: He's sitting with us!?

Mrs Underwood gave us the fake baby along with a bag containing a bunch of things like clothes, receivers, two bottles, pampers and small cute baby shoes.

Was she serious?? She got all these bunch of stuff just for one stupid assignment?? God, she's definitely something else.

"Class listen up, I need you and your partners to name your baby so I can document it in my assignment book, I'll give you five minutes to come up with the names and then I'll call you guys respectively, to tell me so I can document it" she said to the class.
"Okay, so what should we name our little munchkin here, babe?"Jaquani asked me, still wearing his stupid smirk.
"Do not call me that"
"Don't call you what?, Babe?"
"Yes, don't call me 'babe' "
"Why not, babe?"
"Can you just shut up?"
"Why should I, babe?, you know you love hearing my sexy voice" he said, I didn't even bother to respond just rolled my eyes at him and looked  over at Malachi and Moya. They were such a power couple. They've been together since elementary school and seems to be going very strong. To be honest, they're the only ones I see, that don't seem to be bothered much by this assignment.
"If you're done staring at those guys, what do you suggest we name our baby"Jaquani said and broke me out of my little daze.
"I don't know, do you have any ideas?"
"Yea, we could name her Godzilla" he said stifling a chuckle.
"Are you kidding me right now?"I asked a little amusement in my voice, along with a small smile.
"Yea, i am not that bad of a jerk, but at least it made you smile which is rather cute by the way" he said with a small smile of his own.
I turned my face to the other side, hiding my blush.

Was that an actual compliment from him or one of his stupid jokes?

"Hey, can I call you Kelly?" Jaquani asked with a glint of interest in his eyes while staring at me.
"Uh, yeah sure, and I guess I'll just call you Jay, but that doesn't mean we're actually lovers or anything, alright? I joked
"Not yet, but we will be, eventually"he winked then chuckled.
"Okay, Kellyann and Jaquani, what's the name of your baby?" Mrs Underwood suddenly asked.
I looked over at Jay bewildered, he simply mouthed "don't worry, I've got this" and turned to Mrs Underwood.
"Our baby's name is, Skylar, Mrs Underwood", she nodded her head and started writing it down in her book.
"That's not bad coming from a jerk like you"
"Hey, only I am allowed to insult myself like that, to you it's prince charming" he said with his stupid smirk back. I rolled my eyes at his antics but in my head, I honestly think I was smiling.

It was lunch now and I was making my way to our cafeteria. Unlike some schools, our food's actually good. Since its Monday, they'll be serving chicken sandwiches, salads, meat balls and spaghetti, fruit drinks and water. While in the line, getting myself a chicken sandwich and a bottle of water, I spot my friends sitting at our usual spot. I collected my food and made my way over to them.
"Hey guys, wassup?"I greeted them.
"Hey Kelly" they said simultaneously.
I took a seat, took a drink of my water and almost spat it out when I saw Jaquani making his way over to our table.
"Wassup wife, sup gang?"he said with a small smile and took a seat.
I saw Zach's eye grew wide and I looked at Chelsea to see her mouth opened wide in shock that I had to kick her for her to close her mouth.
"What are you doing here Jaquani, why are you sitting with us?"I inquired while raising my eyebrow.

"Well babe, I wanted to meet your friends and spend time with you so you could enjoy the company of your husband" he said rather proudly.

"Did he just call himself your husband!?, Kelly what the hell is going on!?" Zach asked rather frustratedly.

"And who is this dude? Why do you sound as if you got a problem with her being mines?" Jay replied giving Zach a very icy, death glare.

Chelsea interjected, "Well...Kelly!??, what do you have to say about all of this!?"

Omg what should I say??? Will they believe me about the assignment?? Will they think I know him outside of school??
Wow, I definitely have a lot of explaining to do

Well there goes chapter 3 guys! Guess things have gotten a little spicy heh?? Wonder why Zach was so frustrated? Was it just because he didn't know about Kelly and Jay even talking much less, what jay was saying about him being her husband? Or was it something else? Only time will tell😋.
