"Run!" This was word that my mind repeatedly screamed.

My stale feet continued to move without any sense of direction. My inner soul shook, invading the deepest core of my body. The breeze of the night winds whispered enigma, tickling my ears down to the bottom of my spine, warning me never to look back.

Finally, my body collapsed like a rag doll onto solid stone with the ground jolting through my bones. With a desperate, final glance at the looming figure poised to seize me, a surge of pure terror flooded my senses.

A silver chained necklace adorned the silhouette's neck, glinting ominously under the moon's mocking gaze. Its arrow-shaped pendant seemed to point accusingly at me, as if marking me for some unknown fate.

"Who are you?" I managed to whisper, my voice barely audible.

Without even hearing his answer, a searing pain erupted in my head as I was struck by an unseen force. White mist formed in my eyes, blurring the clarity of my vision. I could hardly breathe as my heart throbbed vociferously, adding to the noises of nature and, most of all, danger. Darkness enveloped my surroundings, swallowing me whole.

I woke in the dead of night, drenched in sweat, my heart still racing as if trying to escape the nightmare that had consumed me. Clutching my blanket tightly to my chest, I trembled with the lingering echoes of fear.

"Five long years," I murmured, the words heavy with resignation and despair. The crack in my voice betrayed the depth of my anguish, a painful reminder of the scars that this nightmare had etched upon my soul.

I had been trapped in this recurring nightmare, haunted by the same relentless terror that refused to release its grip on my mind. Each time, it felt like I was teetering on the edge of oblivion, a single step away from being consumed by eternal slumber.

Agony and restlessness consumed me, every step a struggle against the weight of fear pressing down upon my chest. With every beat of my heart, the terror escalated, threatening to overwhelm me entirely.

I was trying to shake off my biggest fear — I finally recognized the identity behind the silhouette that kept hunting me for years.
