Gumi~

The final bell rang, ending my second day of school at the Vocaloid Academy. Music class was by far my favorite class. I heard a ton of students sing, and they all sounded great! I haven't performed myself, yet, but according to Yuma, we do those projects all the time. Which meant I had to spend a lot more time writing songs. Ah, well, inspiration will come to me somewhere.

Yuma and I began to walk out of the classroom, until the door barged open. A very angry looking Miku stood in the doorway, glaring at Yuma.

"Oh, shi-"

"Where have you been?! I haven't been able to reach you all day yesterday! You have a ton of explaining to do! Why didn't you call me?! And what was with that text you sent?!" She yelled, her face red as a tomato.

Yuma backed against the wall. He looked almost scared for his life. I didn't blame him.

"Um, I was with my friends-" He started, but was cut off.

"Again with those stupid friends of yours! Why are you always with them?! What could you possibly see in those freaks?!"

That did it.

"Look here, you little brat! We were out with our friends. What's wrong with that? If he doesn't want to answer his phone for a day, let him! The world doesn't revolve around you, in case you didn't know," I snapped, just letting everything pour out.

Miku whipped around and glared at me. I didn't let her stare intimidate me, though. Nobody insults my friends and gets away with it. I wasn't scared of her.

"And who are you?"

"Just someone you don't ever want to piss off. Now can you please take your prissy self and leave? You're starting to get on my nerves." I crossed my arms and glared back at her.

Miku lowered her voice. "Do you realize who you're talking to? I can make your life a living nightmare," she threatened.

I smirked. "I'm already living one."

Whoa. Where did that one come from? I mean, sure, my parents were horrible, and I had no real friends at my old school, but after meeting everyone here, I've been happier than ever. I didn't really consider my life a nightmare. I decided it was just my anger talking for me.

"You're going to regret making enemies with me, I promise you that," Miku growled before storming away.

I sighed angrily, then turned to Yuma.

"How did you manage to piss her off that much? Did you kill her cat or something?"

"Well, I broke up with her. Over text."

I facepalmed. "Wow. Okay. Well, because of your stupidity, now I'm the one pissed off. It's gonna take a lot to cheer me up now." I grumbled, turning my back to him and crossing my arms.

There was a pause.

"I'll buy you some carrots?"

"YOU WILL? I FORGIVE YOU, YUMA! CAN WE GO RIGHT NOW?" I started jumping around him in circles, chanting "carrots" over and over.

"Alright, alright, fine! I didn't think that would actually work..." he mumbled. "Let's go, then." He had to grab my hand to make me stop jumping around.

I'm sorry, but I really like carrots.

"Alright, are you happy now?" Yuma asked as we walked out of the grocery store.

"Yes, very much, thank you," I replied, practically stuffing carrots into my mouth.

As we walked along the sidewalk, not really heading anywhere particular, a question formed in my head. It had crossed my mind for a split second earlier, but I was too caught up in my excitement for me to ask. I didn't know why the question seemed so important as Yuma and I walked. It just was.
