Chapter 13

The next morning the sound of my alarm woke me up I got up and got changed into a dress with lace sleeves before putting on my Jeffery Cambells. I tied my hair up into a bun and did my usual Black make up. It was 9:30am which would give me half an hour to walk down into town. I smiled at myself in the mirror before going out into the living room. Max was passed out on the sofa snoring soflty. I went over and kissed him on the cheek before grabbing my bag and leaving the apartment. 

Arriving at the bar I knocked on the door and Tom let me in "Hey Darlin' come on in" I smiled at him and walked into the bar. "I thought I'd train you up earlier this morning so you can start properly tonight" I nodded agreeing "Also we have a big gig on tomorrow night and I am desperate for staff so I'm glad you turned up" 

"Oh who's playing" I looked at him interested 

"If I told you it wouldn't be a surprise show would it" he replied tapping his nose. 

"I guess so" The afternoon went pretty smoothly I was able to go and get lunch at a a cafe next door and I was really enjoying it. Soon the bar started filling up with quite a lot of people "This place is popular" I said to the other woman I was working here with she smiled at me

"You wait till tomorrow night when Falling In Reverse play" I froze 

"What? Falling In Reverse?" she winked at me

"You didn't hear that from me" I quickly walked over to the other end of the bar and asked for the next person's order. There was no way I could work here tomorrow night if they were playing, facing Ronnie, after everything that had happened at warped! I handed the guy his drink and took his money over to the till, I was daydreaming at this point, well I wouldn't call it that, I'd call it a daynightmare! As I wasn't exactly with it Tom taped me on the shouler, making me jump out of my skin "Wake up" 

"Tom! Don't do that!"

"You'd best be awake tomorrow Lexus!" I shook my head 

"Tom, is it true Falling In Reverse are playing here tomorrow?" he laughed 

"Yeah, keep it quiet though" I groaned and slammed the till shut, I didn't think Tom heard or saw it, but he did. "Everything alright Lex, you got a problem with tomorrow night?" I quickly looked around at him, as much as I wanted to tell him why I was upset I didn't want to let him down "No not at all" I smiled at him and he smirked back "Good because you're pretty much going to be their slave" 

"What!" I blurted out

"Like taking them drinks and food" I nodded and turned around rolling my eyes. As I did I saw Max walk into the bar 

"Hey babe!" I smiled at me

"Hey bar lady" he joked "Get me a drink" I laughed at him and pulled him a pint of beer

"On the house" I said placing it in front of him. He smiled at me as he took a sip "You've got a froth beard" I giggled as he wiped his upper lip. 

"I was thinking, do you want to go to the movies tonight?" I looked at him 

"Well I don't finish till 10pm and I have to work tomorrow" I could see he looked a little disheartened 

"Where's Tom?" he asked

"In the back I think" I watched as Max climbed over the bar "Max!" he pecked me on the lips and then dissapeared through the back door. A guy at the bar called me over "Hey Doll, get me a Jack and Coke" I grabbed a glass and filled it up "Here" he smiled at me "You're a pretty lady, what you doing hanging around a guy like that" I gave him a dodgy look and went over to serve another customer. But he seemed to follow me around the bar "You'd be better off with me, what are you doing tonight?" I shrugged
