My Fate Is Falling (COMPLETE)

Chapter 11

I felt someone grasp my hand and I woke up. I was lying in the back of an ambulance I began to panic as I felt a pain srike down my left side. The nurse sat next to me and stroked my head "It's okay, do you know where you are?"

"I'm in the back of an ambulance, I was just in a car crash. erm oh my god is Ronnie alright where's Ronnie?" I went to sit up

"Ahh no you don't, you might have a back injury so don't move, Ronnie is in another ambulance we don't know how he is" the nurse went over to a draw and grabbed my mobile phone. "Is this yours?"

"Yes, yes! I was phoning my Mum when we crashed" She handed it to me. The ambulance ride wasn't too long but felt it. I was so worried about Ronnie I felt like this was all my fault. 

When we arrived at A&E I was rushed in for X-rays and all sorts. I didn't feel all that bad and turns out all I had were a couple of bruised ribs and a cut up Left arm from where I had been crushed against the side of the van door. I sat up in my bed as a nurse came in to check up on me "How are you feeling sweetie?" I smiled at her 

"Okay I guess. How's Ron-" I stopped speaking when I saw Craig and Max standing behind her. I stopped smiling knowing I was going to get howled at by them. "I'll leave you guys alone" she said as she slipped out of the door. Craig ran over and gave me a hug "I'm so glad you're okay" I hugged him back with my good arm, feeling a little better knowing that they weren't angry at me. Max was peering at me as I leant my head on Craigs shoulder. "I'm so sorry Craig" he unravled his arms from me and looked me dead in the face "Well we warned you, I guess you just needed to learn for yourself" I sighed, I hadn't learnt anything I knew I had fallen for Ronnie. Wait what am I saying! Craig kissed my forehead  "Me and Max will be just outside if you need anything" 

"Wait, Craig.. How is Ronnie?" he looked at me with a sympathetic look 

"It's nothing for you to worry about" I sighed knowing I wouldn't get anything out of him. I was left alone with Max he came over to my bedside "Why were you with Ronnie?" he asked me not looking at me. "I met him when I was out last night and I don't really remember much else" I muttered

"According to Derek Jones you got out of his bunk this morning and had a little scrap with Cassie" I turned my head away from him "What about us Lexi? I thought we had something special?" I swung my head back around "WHAT?" he looked suprised 

"Me and you? I thought we were going somewhere" 

"Max we aren't an item and we never will be, you're my Mum's boyfriend"

"Please?" Max demanded. I turned away again but was shocked when I saw my Mum standing in the door way with Leila "Mum!" I shouted 

"Leila go over to Craig" she said before walking up to me and Max "So this is why you left me then Max? for my daughter?" Max looked shocked, she'd obviously been standing there for the whole convosation. I gulped "Neither of you can expect to be coming back home after this" I couldn't even say anything to defend myself I just looked back at Max who looked startled. "Max I don't love you" he snapped out of his daydream and looked back at me "If you don't love me then who do you love? It's Ronnie isn't it?" I turned my head away being unable to answer the question. "I knew it" Max threw his hands down onto my table and left the room. 

I never saw Max or my Mum for the few days I was in hospital same with Craig because they were all at warped probably half way across the country. I'd get the odd phone call from Craig who said as soon as I got out I could go back to his flat. I grabbed all of my belongings before leaving the ward. I now knew how Ronnie was turns out he's been in a coma since the accident. I decided to go check on him I wrote a little note for him it read 

Ronnie, I'm so sorry for what happened, all my love Alexis x

I placed the note next to a bunch of flowers on his desk. I let a tear roll down my cheek before kissing his forehead just as I did I was startled by the sound of heels coming from behind me I turned sharply to see Cassie "What the hell are you doing here, leave now!" she demanded I stood up and moved closer to her "You need to realise he doesn't love you Cass!" she grabbed my face and pushed it down over Ronnie  "Just look, just look what you've done to him" I began to weep as Cassie pulled me back to face her "Now go and don't ever think about coming back!" I picked up my bags and left the building. I noticed there was a lot of press outside and a whole group of Falling In Reverse fans I didn't think they would know who I was but they did "HEY HEY YOU Lexi!" I turned to the fir fan that was shouting me "Is Ronnie okay?" I sighed

"No, no he's not okay" I turned and liturally ran to the nearest taxi rank just so they didn't catch me crying. Once I was safe in the taxi I asked the driver to take me to the nearest airport. I had enough money from what Max had given me to get a flight back to Vegas and just hibernate in Craig's flat forever. That's all I wanted to do. Just stay inside for the rest of my life. No more drama and no more stupid boys! I paid the driver and dragged my suitcases into the terminal.

The ticket cost me a pretty penny as it was at such short notice and the wait felt like forever but sooner or later I was on a flight back home, pretty much away from everything until Warped was over. I laid back in my seat, I could finally relax and not have to worry about anything. I must have fallen asleep because when I looked out of the window I could see we were landing, I was pretty hungry so I had a plan to go and get some food from the cafe in the airport I was so so relieved to be back home in Vegas. But I still felt a weight on my shoulders and I just couldn't let go of the thought of Ronnie laying in that hospital bed and what Cassie had shouted at me earlier, I guess I just had to forget about it seeing as Craig had told me it's nothing for me to worry about.When I got to Craig's flat I found the spare key under his door mat and went inside liturally slinging myself down onto the sofa. I grabbed a pot of ice cream from the freezer, put my pyjamas on and flicked on the TV. I was determined to stay on this sofa forever.

Weeks had passed and the only time I had gone out was to the grocery store to get more food. I had gotten through nearly every episode of Friends I was half way through the last episode when I heard the door open. I turned around to see Cassie stood at the door with and evil look in her eyes. I turned back to the TV "I've come to pick up my stuff!" she snapped at me as she slammed shut the door. I didn't say anything I just snuggled into my blanket. After about 20 minutes she reappeared "Max bringing you on warped tour was a bad idea!" I ignored her

"Shouldn't you be at the hospital with Ronnie?" I questioned her she looked cheesed off

"He's out of hospital and I'm moving in with him, that's why I'm collecting my stuff!" She wheeled her suitcases out of the building and slammed shut the door I jumped and then settled down on the sofa. I guess if Cassie and Ronnie were back in town things weren't going to be so simple, I began to think about what Ronnie had said to me the night we well slept together, the words I used Cassie to get to you were rushing through my head.... He was either lying to get in my pants or was extrememy drunk. This angered me how could I be so naive? I knew I should have listened to Craig and Max. I knew it, I mean him and Cass are now living together so surley he must love her if they are living together right? I turned off the TV and laid down, I need to stop thinking and just forget I thought to myself. I wonder if Ronnie ever got my note or if Cassie had found it and ripped it up. God Damn it!
