Ana stood with her back pressed against the metal lockers with her arms crossed over her chest. Jonah rummaged through his locker, a hard expression on his face. He was angry with her. She had not only lied to him twice, but he had pissed off the biggest bitch and bigger asshole of their school.
“Are you still ignoring me?” Ana sighed as she stared straight ahead. A group of girls huddled around a locker but their attention rested on Jonah. Unsure why that fact bothered her so much, Ana cleared her throat and turned to face her best friend.
Ana sighed again when Jonah didn’t answer me question.
“How many times do I have to apologize?” she asked.
“Until you apologize to Azeala,” Jonah responded as he slammed his locker door shut and turned to his brunette best friend.
He noticed the way her dark hair fell down her shoulders and contrasted against her light skin. He mentally pointed out how pretty she looked in her toned down clothing. Anastasia wore a pair of black skinny jeans and a red and black plaid button down shirt along with her black Vans. She had never been one to overdress, especially for school.
Ana quirked a perfectly shaped eyebrow when she noticed that Jonah had been staring at her for a little too long. “Why do you need looking at me like that?”
Clearing his throat, Jonah shouldered his bag higher up his shoulder and glanced over at the giggling girls to his right.
“C’mon,” he sighed as his hand found Ana’s. He wrapped his long fingers around her thin wrist and began to pull her behind him. “We’re going to be late for first period.”

Anastasia hated her new school, but she had to admit, although Jonah was angry with her, she was still glad he hadn’t ditched her on her first day.
Somehow she had managed to be enrolled into every single of his classes, however, she later found out that, that also meant sharing a class period with both Azeala and Ford.
Ana sunk in her seat and tried to cover her face with her long hair acting as a curtain. Jonah sat behind her, his fingers softly playing with the ends of her long curled hair.
“You okay?” he asked as he leaned forward into his seat.
Anastasia slightly nodded. “Perfect.”
“Did you two run into each other this morning?” he asked.
Ana shook her head, “No. I left earlier just so I wouldn’t have to face her.”
Jonah sighed, “Don’t be such a wimp.”
Ana glared at her hands, “You said yourself she was the biggest bitch in school.”
“I didn’t take you as a chicken-shit,”
At that, Ana pulled away and turned to face her best friend. When she met Jonah’s grinning face she couldn’t help but glare. “Don’t start with me, chipmunk,” Ana grinned as she reached out and pinched his cheeks.
The smirk instantly fell from Jonah’s face just as the teacher walked into class.
“Okay class,” the teacher instructed. “Let’s begin.”

Ana waited at Jonah’s locker. The only class they didn’t share together was the last class of the day. During lunch they had made plans to go out for frozen yogurt. Centuries by Fall Out Boy played through her white earphones. She sat on the tile flooring, her knees pressed up against her chest.
Her first day had gone better than she had expected. Ford had tried talking to her once but Jonah had swooped in and saved her. Anastasia hadn’t seen Azeala but she knew she was bound too. After all, they now lived together.
Giggling reached her ears and Ana looked up from her phone. At the end of the hall she saw Ford with a dark haired girl. He had her pressed up against the wall and his lips were on hers.
She glared. Even though Azeala wasn’t her favorite person in the world, she knew that Ford was an asshole and that Azeala deserved a lot better. Pushing herself onto her feet, Ana put her phone away in her bag and walked down the hall.
“Hey Ford,” she called out and the asshole pulled away from the girl.
Clearing his throat, he stepped away and ran a hand through his hair. “Hey. Back to kick me in the balls again?” he asked and Ana smirked as she stopped a few feet away from them.
“Actually, no. I actually came by to tell you that Hilary wanted me to tell you that you gave her an STD.”
And with that said, she walked towards Jonah who had just entered the hallway. He smirked as his best friend stopped in front of him with a smile.
“Did you just?” he asked with a raised brow.
“Yep,”
“For Azeala?” he asked as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders and led her towards the school’s exit.
Ana scoffed, “No.” But deep down both Jonah and Ana knew that she had done it for Azeala. Even if they did hate each other.
