Kaoru Hitachiin x OC

I was on my way to the Ouran Academy Host Club. I had decided to visit my friends, the Hitachiin Twins. I also wanted to see my brother and Haruhi. 

I had known the twins since middle school. I was their only friend, and one of the only ones that could and can tell them apart besides Haruhi. The reason for this was simple, I had grown to have a crush on the younger of the two. 

I had grown a better connection with Kaoru, and at first I just believed it was because we were best friends. I only realized the true reason as we were hanging out one day. The only problem was, I was too afraid to tell him my feelings. 

Another problem would be my brother, Tamaki Suoh. That's right, the Host Club's prince was my brother. You can imagine how that is... He was insanely overprotective of me, though it has died down a bit since Haruhi came into the mix. 

Tamaki constantly worried over me, and wouldn't let any boy near me. The only reason I was able to be friends with the twins was because my brother and I never had any of the same classes, me being two years younger than him, so he was unable to stop me from mingling with anyone. Though he did still try to keep them away from me whilst I was in his presence.

He and Haruhi knew of my crush on Kaoru, mainly from observing my behavior, so Tamaki's overprotectiveness was even worse with him. I talked with Haruhi about how to confess to Kaoru, considering I'm a wimp when it comes to things like this, and she helped me with a plan. 

"Hello everybody!" I greeted as I walked into the Host Club. 

"Hi Hannah!" almost everyone responded. 

"Hello sister. What are you doing here?"

"Well, I was around, and I thought I would visit everyone. Say hello and other such things. Besides, I missed my older brother." I smiled at him. He teared up a bit after I said that, even if I lived with him and had seen him that morning. 

"Aww you're so cute! I love you too little sis! You're the best sister in the world!" he shouted whilst tackling me in a hug. He continued to rant about how awesome I was until Kyoya reminded him about the Host Club guests. Tamaki quickly ran back to the girls that were waiting for him. 

"Hey Hannah! Come sit with us!" the twins shouted in unison. I quickly walked over to their table and sat down.

"So, how have you two been?"

"Pretty good. Nothing really new. What about you?" Kaoru answered. I looked away for a second, missing the nudge and insistent look Hikaru gave Kaoru.

"I'm doing good. Tamaki's still Tamaki so nothing new there." We all laughed at my joke before Hikaru spoke up.

"I'm gonna go talk to Kyoya about something. You two stay here. I'll be back in a second." This time I noticed the meaningful look he gave to Kaoru. We sat there for a few minutes in awkward silence.  "Screw the plan.  If I don't confess now, then I never will."

"So-," we both said at the same time. 

"Oh, you can go first," I offered. 

"No, it's fine. You go." 

"Ok. Well, I've needed to tell you something for awhile now... I'm not sure if you'll want to hear it, and I don't want it to ruin our friendship." He nodded to show that he was listening and that I could continue. 

"I like you. A lot. I want- I want to be more than friends."

"Oh thank goodness."

"That's not really the reaction I was expecting, but okay." I was confused. He looked at me slightly panicked. 

"Sorry! I just thought that it was going to be something bad. I like you too Hannah. Do you want to be my girlfriend?"

"I would love that Kaoru. Would you like to come to my house to watch a movie with me on Saturday?"

"Definitely, but what about your brother?" I looked at him in slight panic. I had completely forgotten about Tamaki. I searched the room for my brother, but couldn't find him. Actually, I couldn't find any of the hosts. 

"Ummm. Where is everyone?" It was then that I noticed them hiding behind a sofa. Tamaki was staring at us with gleaming eyes. He looked ready to kill. "Oh no." 

Kaoru had also noticed. "Umm. Hey boss. Why are you looking at us like that?"

"You get away from my sister you shady twin! I don't care if you are her boyfriend now! I won't allow you to corrupt her!" He ran towards us and Kaoru ran. Tamaki started chasing him around the room. 

"I'll see you on Saturday Kaoru! Goodbye everyone!"

"Goodbye Hannah." As I walked out of the room, Tamaki was screaming at Kaoru whilst Haruhi gave me a secret high five.
