My dad's car is giant, and I find it a little bit difficult to manage. I have never driven such a large car before, other than the time of my driver's test, and that ended up in a disaster. I just have to be focused, and keep my eyes on the road.

"What are you thinking about? Are you thinking about the boy from the gas station? He did look cute I'll admit, and around our age." Paige says, with a huge grin.

I try to think back at how the boy looked, I didn't look at him directly, but weirdly enough it's like I know him from somewhere. Maybe from Instagram or something.

"Even if he's cute, his manners still make me dislike him," I reply.

"He wasn't that bad. When you stormed out, he handed me fifty bucks and apologized at least ten times before I left," It really sounds like she cares about him.

"Don't tell me you have a crush on him." I sneer at her, not in a mean or irritated way but in a weirded out way.

"What's the matter if I have a little crush on him, it's not like I'm ever going to see him again." She points out, and I nod in agreement.

We sit in silence, a weird silence. My dad is snoring in the backseat and it's making me tedious and anxious, just sitting here listening to him snore away. Well, at least he's getting some rest. Paige turns on the radio to break the silence. A rock song blasts the radio and fills the car with loud screams. My dad wakes instantly and looks around the car all worried.

"Looks like your dad is a big fan of Metallica," Paige laughs overly sarcastic. She shuffles through the different radio channels until we agree on a song.

My dad has already gone back to sleep. And Paige and I are in the middle of our carpool karaoke, pretending to be on one of those carpool karaoke episodes with James Corden.

The sun has started to set, and the dark is creeping in. I'm driving at the highest speed limit allowed, so we will get to Virginia faster. I'm tired and exhausted but at least the road is only straight.

...

"We're here," I yell, as I'm parking the car at a random hotel, I found while crossing Virginia.

"Are we in Massachusetts?" Paige yawns with closed eyes.

"No, but we are in Virginia," I grunt. When Paige is sleepy she acts drunk. It's both funny and cute at the same time.

My dad takes his reading glasses off and places his book beside him."Well let's check-in." My dad jumbles, as he collects his things.

After getting our pajamas and toiletries out from the trunk of the car, we hurry inside and book some rooms.

"Here's your keycard girls. My room is on the fifth floor, so if you need anything just call me, or knock on my door." My dad tells us while handing me the keycard.

He kisses me on the head, and gives Paige a pat on the shoulder, before heading over to the elevator.

"I'm so excited, we are really going to college." Paige screeches as she jumps up and down in happiness. "I'm so happy you're going to Harvard with me. It wouldn't have been the same without you." She adds giving me a tight hug.

We head over to the elevator and push the button to the third floor. As we find our room, I swipe the keycard over the lock and hurry inside. The room is nicely decorated and has two beds. I throw my stuff onto the Maplewood desk and jump onto the bed closest to the window. As I lay there on the comfortable bed with my face buried in the soft pillow I almost fall asleep.

"Are you thirsty?" Paige asks me with her head inside of the minifridge.

"Just throw me a bottle of water." I yawn. She throws me the bottle of water, and I catch it while still laying down.

"So how far are we driving tomorrow to get to Massachusetts?"

"We have to drive through Washington and New York City to get to Massachusetts. So it will take around... ten and a half hours." I answer her slowly.

"Wow. You're really prepared," she says while laughing.

"I just like to have everything sorted out." I simply reply.

The smirk on her face is ridiculous and makes me laugh hard.

"What are you laughing at?" She questions even though she knows the answer."Nothing," I say quirky. "Nothing in particular" I add.

She jumps onto her bed and throws one off her pillows at me. It hits me right in the face, making me laugh even harder then I did before.

"Oh bring it on," I laugh at her, as I get up from my bed.

Our pillow fight doesn't end up like the fun sleepover type pillow fights in movies, where feathers are floating in the air. Our pillow fight ended up with us sitting on the floor laughing hysterically with all of our pillows on the floor surrounding us. Paige's phone buzzes on the bed, making us calm down a bit from our euphoric state. As she looks at the screen, her eyes instantly roll.

"My mom wants us to sleep," she tells me irretated.

"How does your mom know were still awake?" I question.

"I texted her 10 minutes ago, that we arrived in Virginia safely...You know my mom and how protective she is. If she wanted to, she could surely get the staff to check up on us, to see if we have gone to sleep yet."

Kira is really one of those moms who will do anything to protect her child. She's a very empowered woman, who has her life set. Sometimes she can be a little bit too overprotective and strict, but she's the kindest woman you can know when you get to know her.

"Let's just go to sleep. Your mom knows what's best for us, and besides, I'm very tired." I tell Paige with a yawn.

After some pleading and begging, I finally get Paige to brush her teeth with me.
