The smell of chlorine is impossible to get out of my hair, even with all of the shampoo and conditioner I've used.
Giving up I step out of the shower and put on my underwear and pajamas in a hurry.
While I blow dry my hair and brush my teeth, my mind is coming up with good reasons why Paige still isn't back. I know she'll kill me if I called her parents, but on the other hand, if she was about to be abducted I think she would like her parents to be informed.
Here I go again, with my excessive paranoid thoughts. I know I can be too paranoid sometimes like I'm that type of person who would go around the house to check if all of the windows and doors are locked. But sometimes it's good to be paranoid.
Maybe I should call her, just to make sure she's okay. As I'm waiting for her to pick up, something begins buzzing outside of the bathroom. Don't tell me she left her phone here.
I unlock the bathroom door and step out into our room looking around the room.
"Why are you calling me?" Paige yawns from her bed.
"I thought you were at the pool,"
"Nah, Cole and I left after some staff member told us to leave... Are you done yet, I need to take a shower," I nod and she pulls herself up from the duvet, stepping over to the bathroom.
I walk over to my bed and cuddle up in the thick hotel duvet. Laying here is making me sleepy, after a few seconds I'm already drifting off.
"I'm moving Kenz. I know it's really bad timing, after everything you have been through with your mom. But I can't get my parents to stay."
"Mason I know it sucks, but at least you aren't moving away from Orlando,"
"That's the thing... We aren't staying here in Orlando. My mom wants us to move up east."
"You told me you would never leave me. But you're just a liar."
"I'm still here for you. I'll always be."
"You're just saying that. Just wait, at some point, you'll get tired of me, and find a new best friend."
"McKenna no matter what happens, we'll always be connected,"
...
The sun is shining me straight into the eyes. How can the sun already be up? It's crazy how time flies when you sleep.
As I check my phone to see what time it is, I notice all the missed calls from my dad. thankfully he left me a voicemail.
"Good morning sweetheart. Kira, Henry and I are already downstairs at the restaurant. When you and Paige wake up, remember to take your suitcases with you, since we're checking out right after breakfast."
I stumble out of bed tiredly and walk over to Paige. Yelling for her to wake up while shaking her doesn't help, she just brushed my hands off.
"Paige wake-up Cole is here." I lie, as she pulls herself up from the bed vigorously.
As she realizes that I lied and that Cole isn't here, her face turns to me with a scowl on it.
After I finally convince Paige to get up, we try to get ready and pack our things in less than ten minutes, which we satisfyingly achieve.
Hurrying out of the door with some large suitcases sounds easier then it is, and as we stumble down the lobby multiple people give us the rudest glares.
"Sorry guys, we forgot to set an alarm yesterday," Paige tells her parents and my dad.
"No worries," her dad replies, pulling a chair out for her.
