Chapter 8: Arteriole

Sagittarius is one of the islands between Delterra and Thanheim. This was also known as the home of the Black Pirate Fleet. It was heavily fortified and had pirates on each end of the coast looking after the island. It was the morning and Mary Jane had finally arrived at the shore.

"We're back mateys!!" Kaizoku yelled.

On the coast were pirates and they all carried black bandannas with the signature jolly roger. They were part of the Black Pirate Fleet who were put in charge of guarding this end of the island. The leader walked up to the ship as Kaizoku and the rest came onto the shore and he immediately knelt down in front of Kaizoku.

"You have returned, My Lord."

The one who said this was Shadrach. He wore a scarf that covered half of his face and had a large sword on his back. He was one of the most skilled on the island that Kaizoku had trusted. Not much could be said about his personality except for his habit of calling Kaizoku 'My Lord'.

"I told you stop calling me that, Shadrach. How are things holding up?"

"A new group has joined our forces calling themselves the Heathen Pirates. Will they be joining our fleet?"

"Yes, make sure that they have full accommodations to the city."

"Very well, My Lord. Is there anything you need?"

"Nah, nah. I'll go visit the Queen for now."

"As you wish."

He stood up and walked towards the pirates who had been standing on guard. Shadrach said something to them and they all lowered their weapons and welcomed them to the opening found in the surrounding forest.

A few of the members may not have realized, but that was a code that Kaizoku created if anyone were to try and imitate his looks along with his crew. How exactly they did it was a well kept secret between him and his trusted guard leaders on the eight compass points of Sagittarius.

The path that had been opened for them had a clear route that had been physically made to lead people to the centre of the island, where civilization was. It had not taken long before they reached Arteriole, the city of Sagittarius.

Arteriole was a fairly large city that housed over 8000 people of all races. The city has beautiful houses made to accommodate the beautiful assortment of trees. There were clubs, pubs, parks and even a hospital and jail. This kept this place in an organized chaos. What made this scene so out of the normal was a dangerous fact.

They were all pirates.

Kaizoku made this city after he was made a Sea Emperor. Sea Emperor was ranking one would be upgraded to after building a large enough fleet. This was the highest ranking a pirate captain could receive after Pirate King. Only two carried this rank in the entire world of Aether. Now he needed a place for all his men. After seizing Sagittarius he built Arteriole from the ground up and had that be his base of operation.

The Black Pirates were currently split up and in front of the palace was Kaizoku, Eva and Alavara. Everyone else was either out drinking at the multiple pubs or staying at home resting. The palace was the largest building in the city and everything about it said "magnificent". White marble tiles and beautiful decorations covered the castle.

"What's the queen like in person?"

"Well..." Sweat was gathering at the top of his head as he thought about her.

"Kaizokuuu!"

Someone ran out of the palace doors with incredible speed and jumped into Kaizoku. He immediately dodged and she landed on the ground with it cracking under her feet.
