Damon observed the three men closing in with a sleepy expression.

"Oh? So you've chosen to approach me? Instead of-"

"Why are you asking the obvious?" Calico asked, unveiling the cloak around his body.

Strapped to his body must have been hundreds of knives, each ready to replace any of the knives rotating around him. Each blade was crafted with deathly skill.

"..."

It may not have shown on his face, but Calico was at his angriest right now and didn't feel like drawing the fight out any longer. His captain placed his faith in him to resolve this.

Calico grabbed two of the knives spinning around him and flung them at Damon.

"... Dammit..." Damon muttered. "... No one gets it."

Moving on, he sighed and then raised his hands, crisscrossing his fingers.

The blades spun at blinding speeds and were about to clash with Damon's fingers when a loud splat occured.

"-"

A zombie leaped in the way of the blades, taking both blades to the face.

"... Damn," Afshang remarked, almost grimacing. "You're just all kinds of cruel, hm?"

I'm just getting started.

Damon cocked his fist back and slammed it into the ground, making a visible dent in the rock floor. Large amounts of debris and rubble dispersed and with it, a burst of magic spread around the area until the whole floor was coated in a red light.

"[Corpse Puppet Master]"

Within seconds, hundreds of zombies flooded the area. This built a wall separating Damon from his opponents.

*

Samurai Sensei expected this to happen.

Damon was caught off guard and doesn't know why he was able to take damage from [Draculla] when all other weapons were completely ineffective against him. There must have been a reason for it and until he understood why, it made sense to keep his distance and observe them.

That way he could also develop a strategy to swiftly defeat them.

He may come off as a tactless, moody and antisocial brute, but he's at least somewhat capable of battle, Kiiro thought, letting a smirk play on his face. It would be unseemly to turn my back on the challenge issued by the enemy. Time to test my worth as a sumarai!

"Then I accept your challenge!" Samurai Sensei yelled, diving headfirst into battle.

He sliced left and right, spinning his centre of gravity and incapacitating each zombie with a seamless flow of movements.

With a slice to his left, a body splits into two.

A slice to his right, a zombie loses its head.

Direct jabs to the front and the entire torso is obliterated.

Like watching a stream run down a mountain, Samurai Sensei flowed through the hoards of enemies undeterred. He smiled, feeling his excitement burst forth with each enemy that he had taken down, but his aims are becoming noticeably more precise and lethal.

It was one of Samurai Sensei's flaws, and also why he was kept out of the earlier fight by Kaizoku.

Once Samurai Sensei gets into fighting, he doesn't know how to stop.

*

A bit further away from Samurai Sensei was Calico Jack Vor'Arlet with a stern expression as the battle unfolded. Instead of actively running around to eliminate the hundreds of opponents, he wasted minimal energy by staying on one spot.
