Panic at the Disco

A/N

I know its sounds confusing but now Eleven is back

to the present time. The story will continue like this

every chapter.

Past and Present.

-Present-

I screamed, I expected to feel but oddly enough I felt nothing. I landed on my knees and fell onto the ground with a hard slam. I gasped when I opened my eyes and realized that we were back to the underground headquarters. I heard Apollo groan loudly and next to me Chance was getting up.

"How did we...", she whispered, I sighed when I heard a familiar voice. "Sorry guys for not getting you guys out there until last second", when I looked up I saw Tridon, Apollo's best friend, with a tablet on his hands. Apollo slowly got up and looked at me in question, I gave him a shrug.

"I portaled you guys here" he signaled showed us his tablet "It'd take me a million years to explain the science behind this portal but at least it got you three back here safely". I sighed in exhaustion, for a moment I thought I really was going to die.

"Well, good job, you brought us here 'safely' by one second to spare" Apollo gritted out, he pulled his blonde hair back with his hand. It was hard to believe that I had gotten out there alive, a second less or we would have been buried alive. I sat up and placed my hand on my forehead feeling a headache coming on.

I just needed one second to relax

one fucking second

"You should get up, remember we have to report to Gemini" I let out a loud sigh but got up

All I wanted to do was to sleep...

I stood up with much hardship and re-tied my hair up into a loose bun. "Okay, let's go and get this over with", Tridon hustled in front of us, we went out of the cave practice room (which, by the way, is where private training sessions are held. However, considering that today is Sunday, no one was here). We walked into the dark cave, there were torches with fire lighting up the cave as we paced further into the darkness.

"Did you guys encounter anyone important?", Apollo walked beside me, his clothes were ruined with orange-colored sand. "Of course we did but we'll tell you once we talk to Gemini and the assistant leader"

"That's good enough" He agreed, we pushed through the lit tunnel, it still came to me as a shock that I almost died in there. Even now, thinking about it, made my heart race. Chance slid something into my hand and I looked at her in question. I made eye contact with her as she nodded her head at me, taking a look, I saw a metallic item of some sort on my hand.

She shrugged and continued walking as if nothing happened. I frowned but looked forward once again. "I imagine the hacking was complicated?" Apollo shoved his hands into his black cargo pants.

"Robots are complicated especially when you're trying to hack their system, so yes it was complicated," Tridon said as a matter of factly "Then it's a good thing that they created an AI to help us with these types of situations" I stated

"They managed to shatter our system but the AI is fine, it will take around two weeks to fix the damn shit", my eyes widened, if they managed to shatter our security walls then they can easily break into our system.

"Wouldn't they fix the system first? Isn't it easier?" I asked

"Not at all, the system could have the smallest of problems and could cause an even bigger problem, however, if we solve the AI problem then we can for sure repair our system", I nodded, this means that we may get cut off from missions for a while. I glanced at the blonde boy next to me, he was staring back at me, my cheeks flushed in embarrassment and I turned my eyes back to the front. We made it to the end of the cave, Tridon raises his hand up to the scanner and the metal doors slid open. We stepped inside and there was a noticeable change in temperature.

We headed to the stairs and headed up, I only really just wanted to go to my room and fall asleep. I clicked my tongue in frustration, the last thing I wanted was Gemini giving us a lecture on how we failed our mission.

Tridon opened the door to the Dean's office, this was going to get messy...

I entered first into the white room, his back was facing us as we entered. Like always, he was dressed in a nice suit, I questioned why he wore a suit constantly especially now when we're at war.

"You had one job..." He turned around and sent us a his burning gaze, "I didn't send you there to destroy but to bring back something that was useful to us yet you destroyed the one person-" he cut himself off "The one item that was needed".

I sucked in a breath, "With all due respect, sir, Chance would have died if we didn't interfere"

"You act as if you haven't seen someone die in war Eleven", he strides to me with a glare "Whether your Chance dies or not, on your hands lay the thousands of lives of your comrades, not just one", he sends his glare to Apollo and Chance.

Gemini backs away from me and leans against his desk, "I expected more from the number one team of Equinox", he grabs his walkie talkie that attached to the waist of his pants and spoke into it "Tempest, you will accompany the Avenger's team from now on until they get disciplined with our lifestyle"

Oh... he was playing that card.

"Yes sir" Tempest replied, he returned his focus on us "You may now go", he waved us off. I bit my lip to hold back from saying anything. All I wanted to do was punch the living crap out of that man. We exited the Dean's office, I gritted my teeth and clenched my hands.

I hustled downstairs emitting an annoyed growl, "that man needs some manners" I was pissed, the only person who could make me this angry was that man.

I stepped down the last step and someone touched my shoulder, "Eleven calm down, we'll just have to do better next time", Apollo's soothing voice resonated in the empty hall.

"Calm down? Calm down?!" I pushed his hand off my shoulder, "I'd rather be on the battlefield than take any more crap from a forty-year-old man who only knows how to control his own dick"

"I get that but at this point, there's nothing we can do, let's just do what's best for us and the team", I sighed and narrowed my eyes "What's best for us?" I scoffed

"It's not what's best for us to him, it's what's best for everyone"

"Pip- Eleven, let's just settle down and fix this like normal people" Chance said, I looked away from her and bit my lip "Normal? When were things normal?" I walked away from Apollo and Chance before I said anything else that I could regret.
