Four days later
It had been a few days since Peter had asked me to be his date to prom. I'm still not entirely sure what it is but it sounds exciting.
I stood at my locker, shuffling through my books and stuffing them in my backpack. I closed my locker door and was startled as Peter stood, leaning on the locker behind mine.
"Ahh!" I screamed, making heads turn.
"Sorry Y/n." Peter laughed, clapping his hands.
"Yeah, yeah. What do you want?" I scoffed. Peter sat up straight and secured his backpack on his shoulders.
"So I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me tonight? I figured since it's a Friday and we don't have school tomorrow, tonight would be a good night." Peter explained. I stared at him for a moment in confusion.
"What? Did I do something wrong? Is there something on my face?" Peter questioned with a tone of fear. He began to quickly wipe his face.
"No no no Peter!" I laughed. "You're fine, I'm just confused." Peter looked at me hesitantly.
"Wait why?"
"I just thought prom was a date. Like isn't prom just another word for date?" I asked.
Peter chuckled as he took my hand in his.
"I mean, prom is a date but it's not a good place for a first date." Peter insisted with a smile.
"I'm still so confused, but, I would love to Peter." I said smiling along with him.
"Great! We better get to class. We don't want to be late."
"Alright Peter. Let's go."
~~~~~
After class, Peter disappeared without a trace. I talked to Ned and he said he didn't know. Suddenly, the phone I had gotten from Peter as a gift rang. "Hello?"
"Hey Y/n." Peter said through the phone.
"Where are you? You disappeared after class and I've been waiting for twenty minutes!"
"Sorry sorry! Go ahead and go home. Aunt May is patiently waiting for you. She said she wanted to help you get ready for our date tonight."
"She's so sweet." I said smiling.
"I'll see you tonight, alright?"
"Yeah, alright." I said with a small giggle. That boy just makes my heart soar.
~~~~~
Peter's POV
"You're going to be fine Kid. Just be yourself. Or you could be like me. Yeah, yeah, be like me." Mr. Stark insisted.
"I really can't tell if your joking or not." I joked as I tied my tie.
"Let me give you a hand." Mr. Stark walked over and inspected my tie.
"Hang on. I can fix this." He said. "So, what do you have planned for tonight?"
"Well, I was thinking we would go to a nice restaurant downtown and then maybe walk around town for a bit." I explained.
"Just text me where you're going and I'll call ahead. Maybe I can get you-"
"Don't worry Mr. Stark. I have it covered." I insisted. Mr. Stark finished my tie and I put on my coat. "Are you sure kid?"
"Yeah. I'm good Mr. Stark." I said. I hesitated just as he opened the door. "But just in case they're uh-busy, here's the restaurants number." I said, handing Mr. Stark a slip of paper with the restaurants number on it.
"No problem. Happy's got the car. Have fun Peter. Be safe."
"I will Mr. Stark. And thank you." He have a friendly nod just before I got into the car.
~~~~~
Y/n's POV
Aunt May dropped me off at the at the corner, just before the restaurant. I walked down the street in my baby blue dress and small white heels. My hair was done his a neat braid in the side and my white purse slung around shoulder.
A fancy car pulled up right in front of me. The door opened and our came Peter.
"This isn't really me but Mr. Stark insisted I would look cooler if I showed up in this." Peter giggled.
"It doesn't matter what kind of car you show up in Peter. As long as you're here with me, I think you're pretty cool." I smiled.
I took Peter's hand in mine as we walked down the street. "You look beautiful Y/n."
"Thank you Peter. And you look handsome as well." I said. I noticed Peter begin to blush. But suddenly, something else caught my eye.
My watch was beginning to beep like crazy.
"What's wrong with this?" I questioned, giving it a slight tap.
"Uh-Y/n?" Peter said, pulling me towards him.
"Yeah?"
"What's wrong with the sky?" I looked up to see dark clouds all through the sky. But there was a spot that was darker than the others.
"Something's in the clouds." Peter noticed. And he was right. Suddenly, something crashed through the clouds, falling down, down, down, until it hit the ground with a loud CRASH.
"We better go." I insisted, grabbing Peter's hand.
We quickly ran down the alleyway. I stuck my hand in my purse, pulling out a small box.
"What's that?" Peter asked as he took off his suit, revealing his suit.
"Just something Mr. Stark made for me." I tapped the button and my suit quickly appeared on my body.
"How the-"
"I can't tell you how this happens. But what I do know, is that we gotta go." I said, securing my mask. Peter nodded and we quickly sprinted to the crash sight.
~~~~~
When we arrived, there was something strange, yet familiar. The road was destroyed and a large spaceship filled up the large hole.
Peter grabbed my hand, pulling me behind him as the spaceship door opened.
My feet lifted off the ground, the tips of my hair turning red.
But we stayed on the road, as footsteps came up from the hole.
The man stood as the top. His Walkman stuck to his side and his headphones over his ears. His eyes went wide as he pulled down his headphones.
He laid them around his neck.
He looked at the scene in front of him.
A smile spread across his face. He took a few slow steps forward.
"Y/n?" He whispered, eyes filling with tears, taking a few more steps forward.
"Quill." I cried.
