c h a p t e r : 13

I'M BACK! FINALLY! MY BRAIN IS READY.

Hank POV
This can't be happening, i already lost my son.. i can't lose my princess too.

We were waiting for the doctors that was giving their best. The door flew opened, the doctor approached me. "are you Alex's father?" she asked, i nod in agreement.

She then gave me a sad expression. "we did everything we could Mr. Anderson... but--" "NO! you have to find another way doctor!" Connor cutted her off, he face was about to explode. Not literally..

"Uhm.. we have another option, but we need your approval." She said, as i listen to hear "we need the other android body... we need some thirium and a B+ blood type" she stops.

"What is your blood type sir?" She ask. "Sadly, i'm only B" i told her. "How about her mother?" She looks at me.

"She is B+ but, she left me and Alex. So we don't know where to find here..." my tears were about to escape until Connor spoke.

"She's near the abandoned building we went, Alex told me about your family.. i researched a bit, and she's nearby the abandoned building." He said. "And i already contacted her" my eyes widened.

"What did you say?" I asked

Mother: Hello? Who is this?
Connor: My name is Connor, i'm Alex's and Hank's partner.
Mother: what do you want?!
Connor: we need you.. come here at the detroit hospital.
Mother: why?! What happened?!
Connor: Alex needs your blood.. she needs you.
Mother:... i'll be there.

3rd person
Few minutes have past, a brunette woman at the age of 50s came and walked towards Hank. He stands up as the woman held his arms, tearing up.

"Where's my daughter?" She cried in his arms.

"She's at the operating room again. They need your blood as soon as possible" she then went to the desk as she signed the papers. She quickly changed in the Hospital gown and laid back on the bed as they strolled her in.

Several hours had past. Hank fell asleep as Connor was impatiently waiting, tapping his foot, fiddling with his thumb.

The doctor came out, making Hank flinch in his seat as Connor stood and wait for the news.

"It was successful, but she still unconscious. You might have to wait for little longer. She's in the ICU, you can visit her" the doctor said as Connor sighed in relief.

"We've changed her torso with the android parts, but the rest of her body is still hers. She may be an android, but she still needs to eat and drink and do what humans normally do." She explains.

"Thank you so much doctor" Hank thanked her as she gave him a smile. "Your wife is inside of the ICU, you both can visit her, but only for a few minutes" she said as she bowed a little and walked away.

Connor wore the Hospital gown above his uniform and wore a mask and the hospital doctor cap. Hank also wore them as they got inside the ICU quietly.

Connor POV
We went inside and saw Alex's mother. It's a prefect time to scan her.

Name: Christine Anderson
Birth: November 15, 1989

She didn't got divorce..

It was pretty dark outside because of the rain, making the room a bit dim.

She notice our presence as she glances at me and Hank. I can tell her eyes were puffy and red. She stood up "Hank, can we talk later?" She asked as Hank nod and she went outside.

I went beside her and sat down in the chair, looking at her. Hank gently held Alex hands as he squeezed it gently, he eyes were teared up as he looks at her.

"Thank God my princess is still here,"

I was staring at her, seeing her chest go up and down at a slow pace. Hank went close to Alex face as he pulled down his mask and kissed her in the forehead.

"I'll be outside" he said as he went out.

I glanced back at Alex who was lying in the bed still, chest going up and down, oxygen mask on her mouth, eyes closed.

I held her hand as the artificial skin shows with my hand.

"Please wake up, Alex.." i plead as i cry, trapping her hand between both of my eyes and held it close to my forehead.

Few weeks later...

I went to the Hospital to visit Alex, i pushed the 17th floor as the elevator went up. I stepped out and went to the ICU wearing the gown, mask and the cap again.

I went inside as i see her, still lying in bed, still in the same position. Everyday i always come and visit her, hoping she would wake up.

It's been a month after all the things that happened.

I sat down beside her bed as i look at her, grinning slightly. Tears escaping in my eyes, i held her hand tightly as the artificial skin appeared again.

"Please, wakeup.." i plead. I stood up as i glanced at her one more time before leaving. I glanced at her finger that just twitched.

Her hand suddenly flinching, i looked at her face as i can see her eyebrows were furrowed. I hurriedly called the doctors as they ran inside of the ICU room.

All of a sudden i heard a scream. She's in pain.

I tried to look in the windows as one of the android nurse was stopping me, some nurses inside of the room covered the windows.

Hearing her screams makes me worry. After a few minutes her screams stopped.

As one of the android nurses that were inside came out, "everything is alright, we've injected her a medicine that will make her fell asleep again. Trying to calm her down" she explains as i nod.

The doctor came out as i looked at her "she needs to have a rest, apparently from what happened inside, she felt the pain that we were doing in her surgery. Aftershock i should say. Later when she's awake, we'll put her in a private room." She said.

"But don't worry, she's already awake. She just needs to sleep for a few hours" she stopped "when are you planning on telling her the truth?" She asked me.

"..i.. i don't know when.." i answered her as she looks at me in the eyes.

"I think it's better to tell her when she wakes up, you don't want to hide anything from her do you?" She asked as i shook my head from side to side.

"If you love her, tell her everything. But i would suggest to not like surprise her, tell her when you are ready" she said as she pats my shoulder.

"You can do it" she said as she walked away with the nurses.

I sat down and wait for her, again..

Fun fact, while i'm writing this message my eyes were not blinking and it freaking hurts!
