Chapter 14 - Good News! (Completed)

"Aight everyone, I know you haven't had proper training yet... but..

try to improve as you go, alright?.."

He smiles as he says that..

"... because, I'll split up with you kids..
.. Y'know, so it'll be easier!.." He says..

H-he's serious!

"You're really leaving us alone?" Yume asks while holding Ace's arm..

"No not yet.. I'll guide you to the basics first of course.. I'll teach y'all how to read a map, how to save your money, how to build campfires, how to talk to people, y'know.. them basics." He says..

Everyone felt skeptical about it and kinda got worried..

".. Don't worry.. I have faith in y'all! The reason I'm not training you enough is that so you can unlock your demons faster.. and with them by your sides.. I'm sure you'll be fine!"

He said to cheer us up..

Everyone felt kinda relieved and calmed down a bit after that..

*Ring ring..

*ring ring

"Oh.. Lati's calling!" Mr. Net calls out..

"What's up! how are you?..

Oh that's nice to hear! What about her?..

Oh! That's absolutely incredible! Keep her safe while we're at it will ya?

Okay then.. Keep us updated eh? talk to ya later.." He says then he turns his phone off..

Everyone were interested, but everyone had a different expression..

everyone was moving closer to Mr. Net, as if they were excited to hear something..

"So..?" Ace asks..

"How is she?.." Kyra follows..

"I wanna hear something good.." Amor follows as well..

"Well, Good News! He says Alza is good and well.. She still can't do so much yet but she has the strength to walk again.." Mr. Net says.

"Oh wow, really! That's so good to hear! I can't wait to read our favorite books together again!"

Kyra says with some few tears in her eyes..

"Mhm! And I can't wait to show her my technology again.. she really loves them!" Star says happily..

All of them be happy and excited while me be smiling while having a confused face.

Mr. Net notices..

"Oh.. Melt. Do you know who she is?..
the one we mentioned was Alza.. She's the Mage's daughter.." Mr. Net says.

"Oh? Wow!" I reacted as I was surprised and interested.

"She's also our old classmate! And Lati's best friend!" Star says.

"Ohh that's why y'all cared.. She was a part of the class huh..? That's good to know!"  I said.

"Why's she not here no more though?"
I asked.

"..."

Everyone got silent, and faces looked down..

"Oh... Uh.. we'll explain that later, for now, we'll get to the next part of our meeting, okay?.." Mr. Net reluctantly replied..

Huh..

I'm curious, but if it's that serious, then okay, I'll shut up about it for awhile and ask again when I get the chance to.

"Alright, For the 2nd part of our meeting, and the main reason I called you out for, is this.." He says as he pushes a button afterwards, revealing a big hologram that had a picture of a boy in it.

"Remember when we mentioned that The Mage has tracked the people who unlocked their demons, or has loose chains?.." He asked.

"...Well, we have a list now, and we're here on planet Nethalania, to find and secure our first 2 demon users on the list.."

He says then he presses a button to reveal the first 2 individuals we have to meet.

"Before we get into the details about the 2 kids, I need to remind you, that our mission is to find them, and convince them to join us before a force of wrongness will get hands on them for a bad purpose.. as the Mage has prophesized.. Okay?"

He reminds us with a kinda worried voice..

The mood in the lounge suddenly got serious after..

"Alright, first, Alyssa. She's a 14 year old girl who lives in a town called "Sherloin", far south from Agila City, She's a learning musician, the violin is her most played instrument, she uses her talent to get money to help herself buy food and water.

She's self educated and she's homeless. It has been rumored that in that town, 2 years ago, there was a huge storm that was coming, a storm so strong it destroyed half an island..

The storm touched the town's grounds and could've blown away the huts to pieces.. everyone were evacuating, except for a girl with yellow hair who was said to have a violin, in a white dress.. As soon as she played the violin, a beautiful tune was heard, so beautiful it caused the storm to calm down, and made the evacuating people fall to sleep..

We were intrigued by the rumor, and tried to search for her, we couldn't find it, until now. Last 4 weeks, it has been reported a lullaby of a violin was heard from the sea at night, everyone fell asleep, except for the girl. The Mage looked her heart, and appeared that her chains to be unlocked. I also researched a bit and found out that she likes dancing while playing the violin, I feel like, knowing that, she could be fast, and could help you in something. anyway, that's her.. moving on.."

Mr. Net explains as the whole class were taking mental notes.

Also, she unlocked her demon 2 years ago, does that mean I'm not the first to unlock my demon..? Also, I'm interested to meet this person..

"Next up, a 15 year old boy named Alby. He lives on a floating town east of Lakeside City. His main source of his income is fishing, and wood carving.

He has incredibly loose chains. The Mage has seen it. If he sees us as an enemy, and turns things wrong, and could end up in a fight.. he could unlock his demon while fighting..
So be prepared okay? We still haven't seen his true power yet."

Mr. Net explains and warns us about Alby.

He presses a button and both of their pictures were minimized to fit on the screen.

"Okay, but... I won't be with you.."

he reminds us, then everyone looked skeptical about it again.

"How are we going to survive then..?"

Yume asks, worried.

"Don't worry! I prepared everything for you kids! Food, Water, money.. the basic needs. You'll be out there for just a week anyway, you'll be fine!"

Mr. Net tries to make us feel less worried by reassuring us..

"...And if we don't..?" Ace asks..

"... It's going to be on us.." Mr. Net replied with a smile on the end.

....

"Aaaalright, this concludes our meeting, thanks for listening. I'll call you all when dinner's ready."

Mr. Net announces as he presses off the hologram and turns the light back on..

As we walk back into our rooms, I look at everyone's faces, and I see that they're either excited, or nervous..

Me? I'm nervous... with a bit of excitement.. Everything's so sudden..

I just hope this operation goes well..
