Lin hadn't seen the queen since her escape a couple of days ago. The guards however had been stuck to her every movement, shadowing her making her uncomfortable. It was a constant reminder that maybe prisoner was a better name to attribute to her now. The blonde couldn't do her little tricks anymore under the watchful eyes of the guards who had probably only two questions for her, 'where are you from?' and 'how did you escape?'.
The last unsaid question was the one she preferred. Smirk in place as she walked down the hallway Lin glanced at the bare beige walls thinking that they needed more colour or decoration.
Rearranging the flowers in her hands as she came to the door leading to the queen she suddenly got nervous. What if she doesn't like the flowers? Will she get angry? All those kind of thoughts were running around in her head afraid of the queen not accepting her gift.
After a long debate for herself she knocked on the door. The person answering it wasn't the one she was expecting.
"Yes?" A petite coloured woman asked, not knowing who the blonde was.
Lin had that similar thought in mind. Who the hell are you? She wanted to say but refrained, instead she kept her smile up and tried a different approach.
"Uhm, is her majesty here?"
"The queen is busy right now but if you want to, I can pass a message." The girl noticed at that point the bunch of flowers in Lin's hands and her lips tucked upwards. "If you want, I can put them in a vase in her chambers. I'm sure she will appreciate that. You're Lin right?"
Lin was certainly astonished by how the brunette knew who she was, having thought otherwise before.
She nodded and gave the bouquet to her.
Out of curiosity she wanted to know the girl's name but before she could the brunette informed her she would take the flowers to the queen and shut the door in her face.
Turning around she walked back to her room a little startled by how the brunette didn't seem to mind cutting their conversation. Maybe the queen really was in a meeting and she needed to be there.
Her room had been her sanctuary these past few weeks knowing it was the only place the guards wouldn't enter. Reading the books the queen had given her explaining the history of this kingdom would help a lot in understanding of where she was and how to blend in more.
These people were too serious for her taste and it wasn't making her entirely happy and her usual self. She wanted to have fun, starting with history. Her favourite subject.

"king?" Dany asked, intrigued by everything the blonde was disclosing to her. Unconsciously she leaned further in her chair to be closer.
The queen had come here to thank Lin for the flowers at first but as they moved the conversation to the table and saw the stacks of books she once gifted the blonde with she couldn't help but ask how they were. Before long Lin was talking about her own people and their ways of living, forgetting the fact that she was meant to hide her origin.
The two girls had come to the point of discussing kings and queens as they were sat on the same side of the wooden table that had been placed in Lin's room at her request. Daenerys was facing Lin as Lin was facing the open window leading to the balcony.
Lin was loving the attention the queen was giving her. "Yes, we have a king, king Faollen. He ascended the throne before I was born after king Brendh." Turning her head she saw a confused Daenerys. 'She's cute' Lin thought with a small smile as she played with the hems of her shirt with her fingers.
