BEN'S POV
The next morning I woke up late. I slept through all of my alarms, and was late for the set. I was exhausted. When I finally got to work, my producer yelled at me for being late, and about the cuts on my face. It took a lot of time in the make-up van to cover up the marks. I had shoots through the day.
By the time 6:30 rolled around I was exhausted and realized that I had not eaten or drank anything all day. Not to mention yesterday. We missed brunch, and I was so tired I didn't stop on my way home for food. I stopped in my trailer to change and clean myself up, before I stopped at the buffet on set. I grabbed an apple, a sandwich, and a bottle of Gatorade. I sat down to eat, and my producer sat down in front of me.
He sat their for a few moments just looking at me. It was very awkward, and I broke the silence.
"Listen, I am sorry I have been late.." He cut me off.
"It's okay Ben, but that is not actually what I wanted to talk to you about." He said hesitantly.
"So I have a friend in Hollywood, who is producing a biopic about Queen. He would like you to be one of the main stars in it, playing Roger Taylor. You would be leaving in a week. I think it is a great opportunity, and it works out with our schedule, because we rap tomorrow...Well what do you say?"
"Wow...that's incredible...but I don;t know."
"What do you mean you don't know, you have to take this, it is a huge accomplishment, and you are not famous enough to be that picky!"
"Well, it is my choice, and their are some things in life more important than fame and money. Who else have they hired for the film."
"The cast includes Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury and Gwilym Lee as Brian May. They are in negotiations with Lucy Boynton over the role of Mary Austin, who was Freddie Mercury's best friend, and girlfriend for a long time. They want you as Roger, and they are still trying to find a John Deacon. Listen man, this is a big deal, and it is your choice, but I highly recommend taking this into consideration."
"Okay Sir, I will. Thank you so much."
I arose from my chair and headed out of the set. I walked down the street and toward the hospital, to spend the last bit of time with Joe and Lily I had. I didn't want to leave them, but I knew I had no choice but to take this job.
