Drake's POV:

I was sitting on my bed writing in my notebook. It was soon building with raps I have written in the past few months. With everything that's been happening I really think I can try and go far with this. I mean I live in California maybe I could go up to L.A. and show my notebook to a couple recording studios.

"Drake?" I looked up from my notebook to see Proof standing in my doorway.

"Hey buddy" I said getting up from my bed.

"What's going on?"

"I-I just wanted to ask you something." Proof walked closer to me sitting on a wooden chair near my desk.

"Yeah what is it little guy?" I asked with more concern.

"Well," he said getting up. "You know I'm like 14 now. So I was thinking...c-can I have a phone?"

"What?" I laughed. "Proof I'm like 17 and I don't even have a phone."

He looked down.

"How did you come up with this idea?" I said looking at him.

"Well on my birthday Frankie asked for my number so we could hang out again and I said I didn't have a phone.."

"Frankie? You two are starting to get close huh"

He nodded.

I know I shouldn't feel this way. I just don't want Proof to get confused. If that even makes sense.

I sighed. Maybe it's time that we do use phones. I mean everyone uses them right?

"Alright. I guess so..." I said looking around.

"What are you looking for?" Proof asked.

"A key" I said as I opened my drawer and grabbed it.

I then felt the floor for a soft spot and opened up the wood. Pulling out my safe.

Proof looked at me with wide eyes.

"This is where I kept all my trap money" I said opening the safe.

"Trap money?" I smiled a little forgetting Proof was just a little kid.

"You mean like drug money?" He said.

Now it was my turn to go wide eyed.

"H-how'd you know?" I asked sternly.

"Tony explained it to me when he took me on one of his mi-" he stopped himself.

"WHEN HE WHAT?" I got up looking at him.

"I-I mean..." Proof closed his eyes. "TONY HAS BEEN TAKING ME ON HIS MISSIONS SINCE YOU'VE BEEN IN A COMA AND YOU COULDN'T DO IT YOURSELF BUT IT'S ONLY BEEN SMALL MISSIONS YOU KNOW....the drug dealings ones." He said all too fast almost whispering the last part.

I became furious.

"Proof you know damn well why I never wanted you to go on those missions they're too risky and dangerous-"

"But you do it!" He cut me off.

"Proof I do it for you! If anything would happen to you all of this would be for nothing. I go on these missions and help Tony get money so eventually he will trust me enough to help us be on our own. PROOF! I'm making a future for you! I could care less if I died in one of these missions or got caught in some kind of crossfire as long as I die knowing I provided you a safe enough future for you to be on your own and make your own life outside from this stupid gang!" I felt my eyes tearing up.

"I-I'm sorry I didn't realize.. I just wanted to help you!" Proof cried running out from my room.

I collapsed on my bed with my head in my hands.

Proof's POV:

Everything Drake said was true, but God damn it I'm not a kid anymore! I realize what my... Uncle is trying to do for me but he can't keep doing this on his own. He's been doing it since he was 6 and it's taking a toll on him I mean he's already been shot! I need to help him. I don't care what Drake says I'm still going to do this. He needs to realize I'm old enough to help too.

"Proof you coming?" Tony yelled from the hall.

I walked out.

"What are we doing?"

"I need to pick up some stuff for Ray-Dogg and George." He said grabbing his car keys.

I knew what stuff meant.

"Yeah I'll come" I said walking out the door with Tony.

"Proof." I turned around to see Drake standing in the room.

"You're seriously still going to go?" He said more hurt than an actual answer.

"Listen I know I said I'd never would bring him on any missions but... I needed somebody and you were in a coma" Tony said.

"And the other 20 kids that live in this house just weren't available?" Drake scoffed.

"You know that's not their kind of crowd" Tony said sternly.

"Look I'm here now. Recovered and healthy so let me go. Proof you stay." Drake said angrily.

"Well I-"

"No!" I interjected.

"Drake you don't even like doing this! I do and I'm going to do this so would you please just back off."

Drake scoffed.

I could tell he was hurt and angry but he wasn't going to put any more strain on our relationship due to what happened with him.

"Here" Drake said throwing me a phone.

"Where'd you get this?" I asked holding it up.

"I found it when we were living in vacant houses. I just called the store it's activated and running I still need to get a phone for myself." He pointed at me. "You call the house if you need anything and I mean anything." He demanded.

I nodded and hugged him.

"Please be safe. Please" he whispered in my ear hugging me back.

"I will I promise" I said and walked out the door. I looked back one more time to see Drake wide eyed and afraid. He waved and I waved back.

We walked into Tony's car.

"So by stuff," I said. "What kind of drugs are we talking about?"

Tony started up the car and laughed.

"Listen vato you may be going on these missions but there's no way in hell I'm letting you try drugs. Your brother would kill me and by the way he's building up in muscle I might actually have some competition with him." He smiled to himself.

I rolled my eyes. I just wanted to try. What's wrong with that? I mean I should probably at least know how this stuff works so I can explain to people for when I try to sell. We've been living in this stupid house for years and Drake still hasn't gotten enough money or support from Tony for us to live on our own. I have to start doing something on my own if we actually want progress. I studied the numbers and houses we were passing by so that I remembered how to get back. With or without Tony's help I'm going to do this. For me and Drake.
