Proofs POV:

I woke up with my head laying on Drakes chest. Drool started falling to his shirt. I laughed as I lifted my head and got up to go to the bathroom. When I came back into the room he was awake.

"Think you could drool any less."

He started wiping off his shirt disgustedly.

"Haha. Sorry, you shouldn't have said no to giving me any water last night." He just glared at me while taking off his shirt. I looked at his body. It was no longer scrawny like it used to be. He looked much healthier, and with more bone complexion. I stared down to his scars on the side of his stomach and back.

"How did that happen."

He looked at me confused. I pointed to his body. He turned to look at it in the mirror.

"Accident" he said still looking in the mirror depressed.

"Accidents don't form that huge" I said taking a closer look. "And they don't have a pattern"

"Yeah well accidents happen" he started putting on a shirt, clearly not wanting to go any further. I knew there was a lot he was not telling me. I never asked because I know it puts him in a mood but if he just told me I wouldn't have to keep asking.

"I gotta go out with Tony, Jose will be here to watch over you"

"Gonna go shoot up another block" I looked at him intensively. His eye brows pushed together and his lips curved down. I put my head down looking at the ground. He got on his knees so we were at eye level. A sigh came out of his mouth.

"I know what he does is inhumane" I looked at him confused.

"Wrong" he said. "But I try to avoid anything I can. I'm keeping us safe Proof. I'm keep you safe."

Yeah by killing people. I shrugged it off and walked outside. I understood he was trying to help me. Raising a child when you're only a child is unthinkable. But I deserve to know my past and why he had to raise me. I had to get my mind off things. I walked over to the computer room and logged on. Since I couldn't walk to the library myself I had to search for books to read online. Besides the only genre that interests me is mythology. It's so cool how all these creatures are created and the way they act. I don't have to use my imagination to see how they look like because its all in these books. I love learning about their history. The library doesn't have a wide variety of mythology books anyways. As I started scrolling down the search bar I saw this link to a werewolf story. As I clicked on it my black eyes immediately glued to the screen.

"The werewolves are known to be danger to humans but what people don't know, is that they actually don't feed on humans on purpose. The moon controls them on full moons but other than those days, they are harmless."

I read on and on about them. Facts, myths, legends, and history about the werewolves captivated my mind. Consuming my thoughts of the unknown. Not just werewolves but their alliances as well. They have to fight off things like rare werewolf species, werewolf hunters, and Alpha packs. I scrolled down some more.

"They say that sometimes when werewolves kill, or accidentally kill, innocent people, they're eyes turn from a glowy yellow to a dark oceanic blue. They remain that way forever, unless they turn into an alpha. On rare occasions if a person that the wolf loves, whether in a romantic way or family way, the person can change their eye color back by that love or pure innocence."

That sentence caught my attention, but for a reason that I still didn't know.

"Aye little munchkin, I need to use the computer"
