~Han Jisung~
I walked into the front doors of my high school. People were just captivated by me, or maybe it was my newly dyed blonde hair. Nope, it was definitely just me. It was my last year for school before college, and I was planning to make it my best.
I was popular, I knew the effect I had on people. I wasn't stupid. My father taught me to use my charms as an advantage, and my intelligence to get what I wanted. Well, as long as it didn't have to do with feelings. In my household, feelings were always fake and love was a lie.
"Jisung, what's up bud? You really entered this place like you own it, damn." I laughed, spinning around to see my best friend. I flashed my toothy smile, and wrapped my arm around his shoulders.
"Well, you see Changbin...I do own this place." This earned me a shove and all I could do was laugh. Changbin has been my only true friend throughout my life, he was there from the beginning. Our fathers introduced us at a very young age, as they're business partners.
As we walked down the hallways, we got called at and praised. I gave out some winks and a few handshakes. People were honestly so gullible, I had power but not as much as they gave me. The students here changed their schedules, classes, practically their whole lives just so mine was better. I wasn't that important in the world, but it didn't hurt to be treated like it.
"What class do you have first?" Changbin leaned in and whispered into my ear, I swear this kid was always trying to create some drama. It was so great.
I rolled my eyes, looking around at a few people before leaning next to Changbin's ear to answer him. "Calculus, so basically the room I'll end up dying in."
He laughed, patting me on the back. "I'll see you at lunch, Hyunjin needs help with his schedule."
"We've been going here for four years, idiot. Just admit that you guys are dating." Hyunjin was one of our friends, he was really sweet. Kind of clingy, but nonetheless he was a good guy. Him and Changbin have always been close, but it was just getting a little far now.
"I like your brother better." Changbin winked, walking to god knows what empty classroom.
I groaned, how many times did I have to remind this kid my brother didn't like him. "Felix studies in Australia, and definitely wouldn't date a high schooler! Stop trying."
Changbin spun around, giving me another wink. I guess I could let him dream.
I began to walk to my Calculus class, and I prayed I didn't have to sit with some weirdo who liked staring at me. Or one of those really talkative, popular girls. I guess I could just keep my fingers crossed.
"Good morning Mrs. Kang. You look nice for the first day back." I wasn't going to deny it, I was a suck up when it came to teachers. But it helped me pass when I needed an extra boost.
She smiled in return. "Thank you Mr. Han. You're maturing nicely as well."
I chuckled, giving her a small wave before taking my seat in the back of the classroom. There were names written on each of the desks' corners, but I wanted to sit in the last row so I just switched my desk with some other kids. I looked to the seat next to me, it was empty. Maybe I got lucky this year.
I pulled out a notebook and began writing down my thoughts aimlessly. I didn't like telling others my emotions, since no one could be trusted, so I wrote them down instead. I heard more and more student entering the class, but I payed no attention to them. The commotion continued, until Mrs. Kang quieted everyone. People continued to whisper and point. And of course I got curious.
Next to Mrs. Kang stood a boy I had never seen before. He had black hair which covered most of his forehead, and a pair of circular glasses were set on the bridge of his nose. Without noticing I began to chew the end of my pen, I was intrigued. There was no doubt this new student was a visual and his fashion sense was nice too.
"Mr. Lee, take a seat next to Mr. Han in the back row please." My eyes followed his every step. He definitely wasn't a shy one, as the first thing he did was roll his eyes at me.
He sat down, paying no attention to me whatsoever. It was weird, everyone was interested in me. Whether it was in a good way or in a bad one. He sat up tall, and didn't even glance at me.
"I'm Jisung, you'll probably hear about me a lot." I sat back in my chair, running a hand through my hair.
The new kid leaned into me, resting his mouth next to my ear. "First off, I didn't ask who you were. Second off, I'm Minho."
"Ooh, a feisty one. Why'd you move to Seoul?"
"My dad moved his whole company out here. He's competeing with the 'Han' agency. I assume that's your father, after all the teacher called you 'Mr. Han.'"
So this was the heir of my father's rival company, Lee Minho. I'd have fun with him, maybe make him a little flustered from time to time. I could have him wrapped around my finger, and then the rival company would be easier to take over.
I sighed, placing my hand on Minho's. He didn't even flinch. "So you're my obstacle, huh? Good thing you're kinda hot."
He pulled his hand from mine, and gave me a pout. "Maybe if your attitude was as pretty as you were, I'd be more interested."
