~Han Jisung~
"What were you doing at the Lee Estate?" I sat across from my father, his desk was the only thing preventing him from ripping my smirk off my face...quite literally. "Answer me!"
"Why do you care?" I leaned back in my seat, this was a dangerous move. No one dared defy Mr. Han, especially not his son. But I couldn't help but to think of Minho's lips and how they fit against mine perfectly. He was worth the defiance.
My thoughts were interrupted by a loud slam, my father's fist against the wall. I wouldn't be surprised if it left a hole, violence was never limited when it came to my father. As his son, I learned the hard way. I only picked certain fights with my father, because I know he could destroy me more than anyone else could. He could ruin my life, unless I ruined his first which didn't seem like an option.
"Jisung, you cannot associate yourself with him. You would bring terrible shame to our family. I do not want to have to do anything unnecessary."
He picked up his whiskey glass, holding his mouth gently against the edge. Sometimes I wondered how he even kept the company alive, he always had a drink in his hand.
He turned to me, his eyes burning holes into me. "If you think you are going to get anything good out of a relationship with Minho, think again. I tell you everyday, you were made to succeed not to fall in love with anyone. Especially not a silly teenage boy."
I closed my eyes, I needed this. I needed Minho, even if it was just for a little while. I wanted him to ruin me if that's what he wanted. My words were small, but they stood strong. "Let me try."
"Excuse me?"
"Let me try to love him."
"Are you crazy? Have you gone mad? Do you even hear yourself!"
"I want him to love me."
Our eyes were locked. My father walked over to me, his hands balled into fists.
"Stand up, Jisung."
I obeyed his orders, my height didn't come close to his. I stood my ground, I wanted this.
"Now tell me again. Tell me what you want."
"I want him to love me. I want to try to love him too."

I sat with my parents at the dinner table, watching as they smiled at each other. That was love, they were so in love. I wanted that.
I loved when my dad told stupid jokes and my mom giggled right after each of them.
Or when my mom took a small serving of dinner onto her finger, smearing it on my dad's nose. Then I'd watch him chase her around the house, pulling her into a tight hug.
The doorbell sounded, making all three of us glance at the glass door. A shadowed figure stood outside, liquid dripping from what looked like his face maybe. I couldn't really see anything, I was honestly a bit scared.
"I'll get it. Minho, stay with your mother please."
I wearily watched my dad go to the door. As his hands reached for the handle, he let out a loud gasp.
"Mom stay here, I'm going to see what's going on."
I ran to my dad, seeing the shadowy figure now sprawled across the ground of the entry way to my house. His face lay against the ground, blooding dripping onto the floor. His blonde locks of hair were disheveled. And he wore a familiar silver ring around his finger.
"J-Jisung!" I fell to the ground, taking his head into my lap. "Oh my god, what happened?"
He looked up at me, his smile appearing. He started giggling, "Can you believe it? He said I'm not allowed to love you."
"W-What?"
"My father thinks I'm insane for trying to make you fall in love with me. He thinks I'm incapable of love. Isn't that silly? I want to try, that's what I told him. Because when we were upstairs in your room, I felt some type of way. Especially when-"
I put my hand over his mouth. "Okay, let's stop talking. I'm going to get you cleaned up."
My dad placed a hand on my shoulder, "Our family doctor is on her way. I'll have Jisung sent upstairs for a check up."

"Jisung, I'll be right back okay? You just lay here, the doctor will be here shortly. I need to talk to my parents, this was a little sudden. They're freaked out."
He held my hand tightly. "Minho, I've never seen you so nervous."
"You just scared me a little, that's all...I, uh, have to go now. I'll be back later."
I practically ran out of the room. I could see Jisung's smirk clearly in my head. I felt like a fool, how was I going to let him have such a high impact on me? Why would he even stand up to his father, especially over me? Did he mean it, did he want to love me? Did I want to love him?
"Ah Minho, sweetheart what just happened?"
My mom's hands wrapped around my arms, I felt her shaking a bit. My dad sat at the table, staring into distance.
"I don't even know, mom. He told me he stood up to his dad, his parents enforce a lot of no love rules. They think it isn't real. But I guess Jisung does."
My dad looked at me, he smile was anything but genuine.
"He surely does, I saw the way he lit up when you appeared. And I saw the way your face dropped when you saw him hurt. Minho I know that feeling, I had the same feelings with your mother. You both have feel something towards each other. It's just so unfortunate."
"Why is it unfortunate?"
"Son, he is your rival. I know you might not want to believe it, but he is. No matter how much you love each other, you'll always be competing."
"You don't compete against your loved ones."
And with that, I went back to Jisung's side.
