~Lee Minho~
"Oh fuck off Jisung." I couldn't help but to bring my head into my hands. What was I expecting anyway? "You don't want to learn, you want to make me vulnerable. You want a hold on me so that you can win. So you can ruin me. I might be a hopeless romantic, but I'm not dumb."
Without warning he took my face in his hands, placing his lips on mine so gently. He pulled away, looking me into my eyes. I almost melted in his hands, almost. "I said teach me."
I scoffed at his ingenuity, I don't care how light and airy his voice was, it wasn't real. "Actually you said 'Show me.'"
"You're so lucky I like kissing you." Jisung folded his arms with a pout on his face.
But I couldn't help but laugh. "I'm lucky, huh? I think you're the lucky one, you have the honor of getting your heart broken by the Lee Minho."
Our eyes locked onto to one another's and I felt the competitive emotions rush back. I was going to win, I knew I was. No pretty, rich idiot was going to break me down.
Once again our moment was ruined by a knock on my door. "Minho sweetheart, there's a car in our driveway. Your father doesn't know who it is, so please stay inside."
"Oh okay, thanks mom!" I turned to look at Jisung but he was already up and looking out the window.
"Shit! It's my driver, he's not supposed to be here right now." I watched as he fumbled for his phone, looking for god knows what contact.
I walked over to the window, looking at the car outside. My family never hired anyone to help us out, so drivers and maids were never part of my life. They always stuck to their beliefs of running their company completely on their own, without abusing their money spending. And I respected it a lot, they worked for everything they had and no one ever helped them. I never understood how they did it.
"Hello? Are you even listening to me?" I shook my head, seeing Jisung's hand waving in front of my face.
"W-What?"
"I'm sneaking out of your window, so can you like distract your parents?" Without thinking I grabbed onto his wrist, holding him back from the window sill.
"We're on the third floor! Are you crazy? Just go through the front. I'll go with you, it's okay."
"But your parents..."
"I'm not letting them hurt you before I do." My grasp moved down from his wrist, intertwining with his fingers. He gave my hand a tight squeeze and nodded.
"You should, uh, probably put on a shirt before you go downstairs. I don't want them to get the wrong idea." Jisung's cheeks flushed a light pink color and I chuckled.
"Technically they'd have the right idea, but if you insist." I picked up a sweatshirt from the floor and slipped it on, wrapping my hand around Jisung's right after.
I could almost hear his heart beating while we walked downstairs. Funny how he was so confident in 'taking me down' but he's so terrified to meet my parents. I mean it's understandable, if his dad found out he was here he'd be dead in an instant.
"Minho...Oh! Hello, who is this?" I could see my mother trying to hide her smile but it wasn't too successful. Thankfully my parents never really cared about my sexuality, so whoever I brought home they were happy. Not that I've ever brought anyone home.
"Hi Mrs. Lee, I'm Han Jisung." Jisung stick his hand out to my mother and she almost recoiled.
She took his hand in her own, trying to maintain a smile. "As in the heir of the Han Company?"
Jisung nodded and my mother almost looked scared. I didn't understand. It was as if he had sent her a death warning just the day before.
"I'm actually walking him out, maybe he'll come over for dinner and you guys could talk more." I saw her glimpse down at our intertwined hands, her expression softening. She nodded, this time with a genuine smile.
I dragged Jisung through the front door and to his awaiting car. I even opened the car door for him, pushing him inside.
I waved to his driver, who had a more than shocked expression. "Hi, I'm Minho. I'm so sorry that you have to deal with this idiot all the time."
Jisung laughed, pulling me through the opened window and kissing me like there was no tomorrow. I nervously chuckled, looking at the driver. "I guess he's my idiot, right? Haha, uh, got to go."
I rushed to my doorstep, watching as Jisung was driven away. What was that, Minho? I had no reason to be nervous.
I began to walk back inside, but stopped as I heard my parents arguing. I hid around the corner and listened in.
"What do you mean Han Jisung, heir of the Han Company, was in our estate?"
"Honey, please calm down. He was with Minho, they were holding hands and they looked happy."
There was a loud slam and a high pitched shriek.
"Sweetheart, I want Minho to be the happiest boy ever. But he will be killed if he ever goes near that family. They will kill him. Do you not get that? Jisung is lucky he wasn't killed here. This isn't just some silly rivalry, this is war."
Killed?
