~Han Jisung~

"Jisung, your father loves you...he just has a hard time showing that side of him."

I couldn't help but laugh. Was my mother really trying to justify my dad's abuse? Whatever, what did I expect from my parents anyway.

"Just get out. I don't want you to be around me either. I only want one person, and he results in a fight with dad."

"I want you to be happy, but Minho cannot be your love. He's your rival, nothing more nothing less. Your father has made this clear."

"Oh god, don't act like you weren't married off to dad. Don't act like your father and dad's father didn't hate each other. Just because he never loved you, doesn't mean I can't be loved. So get out!"

And she listened, of course she listened. My mother was terrified of my father, I saw the look in her eyes. She probably thought I'd turn out just like him, oh well let her think that, as long as it kept her away from me. She wasn't even a mother at this point, just some brainwashed woman.

Why couldn't I be happy? A company shouldn't determine my happiness. If I wanted Minho, I'd have him. Fuck this business.

Just think of the empire we could raise if love was valid. The two leading companies combined, and a lot less toxic. But no, god forbid if Han Jisung had an ounce of happy in him.

My heart dropped. Was he leaving me? No he wouldn't. Is the Lee company moving locations? He can't leave me alone, not with my father. He said he wouldn't leave. He said he wouldn't give up on me.

~Lee Minho~

I had never seen the Han Estate in person, but it sure was eerie. Not to brag, but the Lee Estate was bright and welcoming...just the opposite of the Han Estate. Dark grey pillars lined the front of the place, casting shadows upon the lighter grey exterior. It gave me horror movie vibes to sum up the first impression. Maybe the inside would be different.

I walked up the front door, kind of regretting not bringing anyone with me. I was a little scared, this could be a really bad idea. But my finger had already pressed the doorbell, and I couldn't turn back now.

I looked up at the various floors above me, seeing a small shadow in one of the windows above. I squinted to get a better look, and I knew those blonde curls anywhere.

Jisung looked panicked, and he quickly unlocked his window to open it completely. "Minho, you need to leave before you get hurt."

"I'm not leaving without you."

"Please, Minho. I don't want him to hurt you."

"Jisung you can't stay here. Not if you have a new bruise every time I see you."

Before he could respond, there was a series of screams and Jisung's window closed rapidly, but he was no where to be seen. I started pounding on the door, what did I do?

The door slowly opened, and the house was so dark and vacant. No one was insight, so I cautiously stepped inside. "J-Jisung?"

"Take one more step into this house, and you won't have a Jisung anymore." The voice was deep and frightening.

Then I saw the pair, Jisung's father wrapped his arms around the boy from behind, holding a revolver to his head. Jisung's breathing was heavy, and his eyes stayed closed.

I raised my hands, trying to prove in any little way that I wasn't a threat. "I'm not going to leave you, okay? He won't hurt you as long as I'm here."

The gun left Jisung's head and aimed straight at me. "You don't control what goes on in this household. You don't control this family. And you are not to keep seeing my son, he will not love you back. He's not weak like your pathetic family."

"Actually Mr. Han, that's not how it's going to work. You're not going to strip your own son of happiness. You aren't going to continuously hurt him whenever something doesn't go you way. And you're most certainly not taking him away from me."

"You clearly don't know what these companies are built off of. Silly immature boys, love is fake. When will you learn to accept that?"

Jisung slowly opened his eyes, looking into my own. He shook his head slightly, mouthing the word 'go'.

"The only way you'll get me out of Jisung's life is by killing me. So do it if you really want to. Shoot me."

I watched as Jisung squirmed in his father's arms. His cheeks were turning red and his eyes grew bigger than I've ever seen them. "Minho no! D-Dad please no."

"I said shoot me!"

Mr. Han dropped Jisung to the floor, slowly making his way to me. Our eyes met, but the gun was pointed to the floor. His hand reached towards me, but he quickly recoiled. "You know something about these companies, don't you?"

"Should I know something about these companies?"

"Just know they're a lot more dangerous than you may think. Keep in mind that they aren't some normal businesses in competition, know that I can have you killed whenever I may please."

"So why don't you?"

"Because your death will cause war."

And with that, he was gone. All that was left was me and Jisung, and within a second I was by his side. "I'm not going anywhere."

I sat on the floor in front of him, pulling his lifeless like body towards me. Fear was written all over his face. My arms snaked around his waist, holding him gently, yet he didn't move. Maybe he couldn't.

"I'm not leaving you, Jisung."

His eyes found mine, and tears poured down his cheeks. "I almost d-died."

"That won't happen as long as you're with me. I'm sorry for putting you in that position, but I will protect you no matter what happens." He buried his head into my chest, and it was practically impossible to hold him tight enough to stop his shaking.
