She ran toward the front door of the loft and pulled it open, gasping in surprise when she saw someone standing on the other side.

Her eyes widened in shock when she took in Leon's presence. His arm was raised like he was about to knock but he lowered it again when she had opened the door.

He was dressed in a black t-shirt and tight jeans. A pair of beat up Chucks were on his feet and he looked completely different from her reality's shy and reserved Leon. But his hair was as dirty blonde and curly as her reality's Leon.

He gave her a half-grin, "Morning, cousin."

Cousin?

"Clarissa?! Is that Leon?! Let him in!" she could hear her father yell from the kitchen and her eyes widened again, waiting for Leon to freak out and try to kill Valentine.

But he chuckled and Clary thought she might puke. Seeing this Leon smile at the sound of Valentine's voice wasn't sitting well with her.

"Hey, Uncle Val!" Leon called, stepping into the house. Clary thought she'd faint; Uncle Val?

She followed Leon back into the nook and watched with wide eyes as Leon hugged Valentine tightly.

"Dad said he and Mom will see you at the party tonight," Leon told Valentine as her mother stood up. He grinned wider as he hugged Jocelyn. "Hey, Aunt Jocelyn."

Clary's eyes widened when Leon mentioned his birth parents. They were still alive in this reality.

Of course they were, how could she assume different? They weren't Shadowhunters and her father wasn't a psychopath who killed Leon's parents.

"Well, good," Valentine chuckled. "I can't wait to see them."

Leon stole a waffle off the stack and bit into it, making Clary's parents laugh at him. Then he waved and yelled a goodbye as he waltz back to the door where Clary was watching Leon's interaction with her father with an open mouth.

He chuckled and threw his arm around her shoulder, leading her out of the loft.

"If you keep your mouth open like that, Clary, you'll catch flies."
