The party was live, I can't even front. We were packed like sardines in a can. I saw a lot of people I knew from high school, including all of the niggas who had a crush on me, they still haven't let that go.
The music was bumping, the vibe was there and the intentions of the guys was clear. Get these females drunk so they could take advantage of them.
I was enjoying myself, feeling the music and vibing while Aaliyah was at the bar getting endless amounts of drinks.
"Israel Rivera." A voice calls from behind me. "Malik West," I turn around to face him as his eyes settle on me with a smile taking over his lips.
"Finer than before." I nod my head watching him as he eyes me up and down biting at the corner of his lips.
"And plan on staying like this." He nods his head making a "hmph" sound from his lips. "Still don't want to be my girl?" he questions as I chuckle.
"Not even in your dreams." He shakes his head as a frown appears on his face. "Still dyke chasin'?" I shake my head
"Never chased, always been the one to be chased." His expression on his face becomes serious. "I mean, look at you. 4 years later and you're still trying."
The expression on his face was priceless, and for once his cocky demeanor changed to dumbfounded.
I turn away, looking for Aaliyah and instead run into Alex. Right? Her names Alex.
She looks me up and down for a second, a smirk spreads across her lips as she rests on a corner with her arms folded.
"Nothing planned huh?" I look at her and she shakes her head while pinching the bridge of her nose.
"This wasn't planned." She unfolds her arms walking towards me. "Three, I've got three words out of her this time people." She jokes and I shake my head.
Don't let her ruin your mood.
"Shut the hell up, that's four." "-Actually that makes six," I exhale slowly rolling my eyes as I begin to walk away.
"Chill, I was joking. Why you got to be so mean all the time? Let loose, it's a party." As she's speaking a guy is dragging a drunken chick away, who looks like she could pass out at any moment.
"Let loose, and end up like that? No thanks." She beams as she follows them with her eyes, "You're right, terrible example."
"Right," There was a moment of silence between us before she started conversation again.
"So, if you're not busy, maybe we could go out for dinner or something," She looks up at me before she continues "Unless, you're busy."
