The Sun brightens,
As deep blue covers the sky.
The whole city lightens,
And the birds fly up, high and high.

Now the Sun is above the steppes,
As if watching over us.
We take cover and curse the heat,
Even when he cares for us.

He moves over the sky,
As if he is hurt.
We breathe in relief,
And run home to rest,
How can we be so curt?

The Sun is about to set,
Leaving a raging red behind.
The last rays of light paint the sky,
Leaving a beautiful sight for us to find.

When the sky darkens,
The stars lazily peep out.
Twinkling and blinking above us,
As if forcing themselves to wake up.

Look around, the city is so bright,
As the shimmering small lights
Overcome the dark and the moonlight,
Giving us a beautiful and beholding sight.

Slowly, the sky turns a lighter shade,
The eager rays try to peek through.
Forgiving Sun's decision was made,
And so the day starts again.
