The heartbeat's loud,
And the screams are faint,
And then those echo out,
And none remain. There's something on the carpet,
And outside is rain,
Can you hear the echo,
Oh, what are those stains? The partially lit room,
And a lot of names,
The walls are full,
Wondering how those came. The heartbeat's loud,
And the screams are faint,
And then those echo out,
And none remain. The kitchen is a mess,
The knives are all gone.
Books all around me,
But the pages are torn.Numbers and keys,
Are a lot in here,
All doors are jammed,
Oh what you got there? The heartbeat's loud,
And the screams are faint,
And then those echo out,
And none remain. The room's all wet,
And many inside.
Not water all of them
With corpses beside.The heartbeat's loud,
And the screams are faint,
And then those echo out,
And none remain.The heartbeat's loud,
And the screams are faint,
And then those echo out,
And none remain.I'm waiting for the light,
Going out so bright,
Calling those names,
With photos in the frames.I'm waiting for the light,
Going out so bright,
Calling those names,
With photos in the frames.
The lights flicker out,
But darkness remains.The heartbeat's loud,
And the screams are faint,
The lights flicker out,
But darkness remains. The lights flicker out,
But darkness remains.
_________________________________________Interesting fact:
I had never intended to write this song, in fact, when I started writing it, I didn't even had an idea on what I was even writing.
It was like my hands flowed on the paper itself and the song was written. When I started reciting it, it ended up becoming more of a song than an actual poem.
