A sensitive topic,
And yet an existential one for us-
It still arises the question,
Why is it not taught to the younger ones?
For the longest time we were confused,
For who we are and wanted to be-
To be the one people appreciated,
Or the happy and satisfied, just we.
Society laid down a path for us in stones,
Shaming every single one of the wanderers,
And yet there were still those among,
Supporting the free spiritors.
Refuse as much as you may,
We exist and will do each day.
Even your Gods and paintings portray our side,
Yes, we existed even far back in the ancient times.
No, this is not a phase-
This is our life and self respect.
For all the times we've been put down,
There will be a day we too will come out.
It's okay to not accept,
But we will exist despite what you expect-
As for those who are with us,
Please don't fight but rather help us stand up.
I'll end here with only one note-
Consider it when you see us next,
Under all the things that we are,
We are, in the end, humans as you all are.

Fact:
I'll be very honest- I don't know why I wrote this. I don't even know or care if it's good enough or not- it's just me and my feeling and that's that. I started writing this book for me and I'll continue doing so, I guess.
As for the sexuality part- regardless of if you support us or don't care about us or can't accept us, we are queer and we will stay here. You can't just ignore us because we are here and will always be.
Many Asian Gods were depicted as bisexual or transgender and you will also find the traces of queer people back in Ancient greece- so No, this is not a 21st century thing either. This is us, whether you accept or not.
