Drop by drop the rain dripped,
Disappointing the ones' expecting snow.
Still bringing joy to some,
Who knew how to appreciate nature's show.Inside the confines of his humble abode,
An old man replayed a message he once got.
'I love you, father'; it simply relayed,
Bringing joy to his wrinkled visage.Turning to the rain outside,
He felt his heart soar with joy.
Only a few more days to go,
And he'll see his daughter once more.Christmas was around the corner,
Joy and cheers greeted with every song,
As he went to his warm bed,
He couldn't wait for the time to go along.Even with his ears on the table,
He could still hear her soft hums.
Even with his teeth in the glass,
He could still feel the cold through his chattering gums. With his head on his pillow,
He dreamt of his good life.
The satisfaction and joy sated his old heart,
Burning every pain that his old body had brought.Drop by drop the rain dripped,
Disappointing the ones' working late.
Still bringing joy to some,
Who took every moment of their life to celebrate._________________________________________
Interesting fact:
Joy and happiness are in fact, not the same.
Happiness, on one hand, tends to be externally triggered and is based on other people, things, places, thoughts and events where as joy depicts deep rooted peace which comes when you make peace with who you are, why you are and how you are.
