The Bar

Aya's POV:

Well it has been a while since I was able to talk to the crew and found out that the reason I was caught was that I forgot about the cameras and the microphones inside them, pretty dumb mistake on my behalf to be fair. Anyway I have just gotten back from a mission with Redd's group, a guy called Ryan was on it as well as 2 people who seemed very close to Redd, Aidan and Alaska. They seem to go very far back with it all. When we got back to the frigate Ghost seemed to be drinking a can of that coffee and another 2 guys one with black and red the other with the opposite, one has this strange Railgun the other had a chain gun by him, seemed to be a recreation of Jorge's one. Not too far from them was another 2 Spartans, on wearing similar armour to Redd but they were female and the other was wearing full Wrath that was just black. They soon ran off to wear the storage room was, ugh young Spartans, wait I was like that once what the fuck am I saying. When I got to the armour stations and my armour was off I began biting my nails, something I've done for a long time now, I saw Redd walk by with that girl from before

Redd: "Ah Aya meet my daughter Laura, I should've found you earlier for introductions."

Aya: "you have a daughter? You sly dog sir."

Laura: "yeah hi dad can I go see Grim now."

She walked off without an answer and Redd just shook his head chuckling a bit to himself, I felt kind of hurt when he said he had a daughter though I don't know why.

Redd: "she's too much like me you know."

Aya: "really, because she seemed a bit nicer."

Again Redd chuckled a bit, god I love his chuckles.

Redd: "gets that from her mother, may she rest in the void peacefully."

Aya: "oh I'm sorry for your loss sir."

Redd: "don't be, shit happens and cut the sir shit."

I didn't know he had someone or that he has a kid

Aya: "so is it tough having a kid?"

Redd: "got three of them, Shaun Laura and Jimmy, all of them take too much after me. Mind you hard not to when I'm as amazing as I am."

He said the last part jokingly, I mean he was pretty amazing, he was one of the best squad leaders I've met so far, a bit of a dick at times but a good leader.

Aya: "quick question Redd, why keep me in your squad after months?"

Redd: "you handle yourself plus you've made an excellent fill in for Karma since she joined Ryan's fireteam. Telling you those two are shagging behind everyone's backs. You should see how they look at each other at the bar, it's obvious they like each other."

Aya: "really? You should take me to that bar next time you go."

I suddenly turned red realising I pretty much suggested an outing with my commander. I should be more professional, why am I like this?

Redd: "me and Alaska are gonna go out drinking tonight if you would like to join, as long as you're not lightweight you'll be fine."

Aya: "I'm not a lightweight."

Redd nods

Redd: "alright, see you tonight then."

With that he walked off leaving me alone. I should probably meet the others I haven't met. I began walking off before I bumped into someone, a marine. I quickly apologise and begin walking away, maybe I will get to see Redd's face. What am I thinking again.

I walked for about 3 hours meeting up with Zoey and another girl she wanted to introduce me to.

Zoey: "Aya great to see you've arrived. This is my friend Hannah."
