Nobody's POV

Once the apartment complex was cleared, Redd opened the main entrance and began sweeping the street.

Redd: "Domino, how long till the pelican is here."

Domino: "about 3 minutes, why'd you stop replying sir?"

Redd: "a couple complications. We got a wounded ODST, a police officer and a few civilians."

Domino: "got it sir, prepping the landing zone, try and get the civilians up here."

Redd: "sound, we'll be there soon."

Once the comm link had been shut off, Redd turns to Baker.

Redd: "I need you to get some volunteers to move Jacklyn to the pelican, can you do that?"

Officer Baker: "I can try sir."

Redd nodded to Baker, causing him to go inside.

Aya POV, present

I got up from the crate, a pelican had just landed on the roof and I was hoping that it was Redd and Domino back from finding that LZ. As a walked up the stairs a saw some civilians helping a wounded ODST on a stretcher down the flight of stairs, behind them was a police officer. Once I reached the roof I saw Redd giving directions to specific areas in the school.

Aya: "Redd, you bastard."

To that he turned around and looked at me.

Redd: "If Aidan tells me you were having a panic attack about me going again, I'm not going to be happy."

I was taken aback by the comment Redd made. That's the last time I tell Aidan how worried I am when he's best friends with Redd.

Aya: "I-I have no clue what you mean!"

Stupid, stupid, stupid. Why did I say that.

Redd: "Don't overreact, you aren't on your period dear."

I, yet again, was taken aback by what Redd said, I blushed a dark red under my helmet.

Aya: "w-what?"

Why am I so fucking awkward. I looked up when Redd chuckled a bit as he walks past me.

Redd POV

I probably shouldn't have flirted so quickly, a bit stupid on my behalf. Aya seemed to quickly get embarrassed so maybe Aidan's constant teasing actually means something. Speaking of the arsehole, here he is.

Aidan: "And where have you been cunt?"

Redd: "Doing the usual, saving some civilians, almost dying, having Domino be a cunt. The average, I hope you haven't scared anymore kids, or worse, bullied poor poor Y/N."

Aidan: "Well what else is there to do, be nice? Seriously though, why haven't you tried to bed her yet, it's obvious with how you look at Aya that you fancy her."

I looked at Aidan quickly.

Redd: "no shit mate. I think it's fucking obvious."

Aidan: "Then ask her out."

Redd: "Seriously? It's been a couple months, don't you think that's a bit early?"

Aidan: "Marcus, you have been gawking over a girl for 2 months, fucking ask her out or do I need to get Zoey to tell you what she has been saying to give you the balls to do it?"

I was a bit surprised by what Aidan had said.

Redd: "Alright, fine. I'll ask her out, might bring some joy to this shithole."

Aidan nods a bit.

Aidan: "Get your cock in."

I laugh a bit then start coughing.

Redd: "Alright mate, I'll go ask just now."

(Casual shitty cliffhanger to make you want to wait another 2 months for the next chapter, seriously though moving is a fucking pain, but I'm in my new place, I'll probably go for monthly updates instead of weekly though, we'll see, anyway yeet yeet time to beat my meat.)
