A Dark Discovery

Aya POV

It's been a few more weeks since everything last happened, I'm now classed as an officer and I use a specialised pistol. I heard a briefing getting called for all officers, meaning I had to get my ass ready fast. I quickly did my hair and some make up and I throw my armour on and rush out to the briefing room. I saw Redd, Ace, Aidan, Alaska and Zoe. I quickly run over along with another 2 soldiers I wasn't familiar with.

Redd: "took you long enough Aya."

Aya: "sorry I wasn't ready."

Redd seemed to shake his head a bit then an AI came up on his shoulder, weird.

Redd: "Kappa explain what you picked up last night."

Kappa: "well sir I found out that there's been a city called Kings has had a massive decline in life signs, it's one of the planets we're protecting so we have a few issues there."

Redd: " we're doubling down on this, someone is after us and we don't know who. Y/N you're taking Omega Team I'm with my group while Aidan and Alaska, you both hold back and get ready to deploy with some of your guys. Ace I need you on standby with that Condor we stole a while back. Fall out and get ready."

Aya: "got it Redd."

Aidan and Alaska: "got it brother"

Ace: "I'll get the beers and whiskey ready."

Redd pats Ace on the shoulder and gives him something out of my view, even Aidan and Alaska were curious. Me and Aidan left the room.

Aidan: "have you two shagged yet?"

Aya: "what do you mean?"

Aidan laughed and grabbed my shoulder.

Aidan: "you and Redd you know."

I quickly punched his shoulder

Aya: "shut up"

Aidan began laughing. Oh fuck I was blushing, shit why was I blushing so bad.

Aidan: "oh my god to fucking good"

Aya: "j-just shut up."

Aidan just walked away from me laughing his ass off. God what was wrong with me. I quickly went to the armoury and got kitted out with my specialised DMR that shot Boltshot rounds and my Magnum that reinforced my shields.

Timeskip about 3 hours later:

Aya POV:

Redd and me were with our teams moving through barren and empty streets. Something was up, then we heard crying from an alleyway.

Redd: "Hold here. I'm gonna clear the alleyway and see what that crying is."

He drew his sword and went into the alleyway.

Redd POV

I walked through the alleyway till I found a little kid tied up crying and what I guessed was his family lying dead next to him. I slowly walked over and put my sword away. Hearing this the kid looked at me.

Kid: "NO NO STAY AWAY PLEASE."

Redd: "hey shh it's alright I'm here to help."

I moved closer to him and he screamed for me to get away.

Redd: "let me help, I know what it's like just come with me, look my name is Redd I'm not gonna hurt you."

When the kid turned over his back was covered in satchel charges

Redd: "OH SHIT"

Aya POV

I heard Redd scream something then a massive explosion came from the alleyway
