Nicole's POV-

1 month later

Tomorrow I would be heading out there again. Double the time. A hundred times more dangerous. When I was going back that would be it. Sent off to do go to the front lines. My training was up and this was it. The end. No not the end, a new beginning. It was me, Waverley and Wynonna all together. I knew Waverley was afraid of me going out to war and in all honesty I was also kind of afraid. Because if something did happen then who would support Waverley and the baby? We were all sat on the couch together watching a film, me in between the two. Waverley was latched onto me, as if if she held onto me I couldn't leave like it would all disappear. But I would be leaving. I would be going to war and there was nothing she could do. As if she sensed my thoughts Waverley suddenly stood up and tucked some hair behind her ear "I'm going to get a uh...a drink" she said and uncurled from my body and walked off towards the kitchen.

My eyes fell on Wynonna and she was already looking at me, for a moment I saw a look I hadn't seen in her since...my eyes moved from hers and I stood up "I need to go check on her" I mumbled and walked off to the kitchen. Waverley was there a glass in her hand.

"Don't tell me that's booze" I said as I got inside and walked towards her grabbing the cup from her and smelling it "Waverley this can be bad for the baby!" I didn't want to risk even small sips of alcohol.

"No you know what's bad for the baby? Losing their mum because she decided she wanted to go fight in a war in some random country and get herself killed rather than stay here to help!" She snapped and I stayed completely still just staring at her.

"I'm doing this for us, for our family, I'm protecting-"

"No nicole you're doing this for yourself and being selfish!" My jaw dropped slightly and I placed the cup down on the side.

"You're upset, you're hurting so I'm not going to think too much about what you're saying but I don't want to leave like this" I moved my hand towards her shoulder but she swatted it away.

"Don't touch me right now Nicole" she shook her head and turned away.

"I thought we had talked through this and came to an acceptance?" I let out a small sigh but she did not reply. "Waverley just say something"I grabbed her shoulder to turn her around but she suddenly turned and her hand reached my face the slap was loud and sharp. My head turned slightly with the impact. My hand went up to my cheek and I stepped back a little.

"Why can't you just stay here and stay with me!" I was lucky my reactions were quick enough to dodge the glass that flew and smashed against the wall. I wasn't afraid of Waverley but this broke my heart. "You had to go and join the fucking army!" She shouted and another thing went flying just past my head.

"Waverley what the hell are you doing!" My head snapped to the side, Wynonna was standing in the doorway eyes wide. "Stop that now" she warned and walked over to me "god are you ok.." she whispered and was surprised by the hug but I happily accepted it , my arms slipping around the woman.

"Yeah I'm alright...." I mumbled a little and closed my eyes.

"And when did this all happen?" Wynonna pulled back to look at Waverley but kept at my side "you used to hate her Wynonna and then suddenly you were all cuddly and cute with her!" Waverley yelled and my head dropped slightly shaking it.

"Waverley just please calm down and come to bed with me" I stuck out my hand but she just stared.

"Tell me what's going on between you two? Why are you so fucking close.mi don't know when it happened but I've noticed it over time, what you fuck or something?" She scoffed shaking her head. We just stayed quiet. Her eyes slowly narrowed "oh my god...you fucked my sister?" Her voice suddenly started to raise and she stormed over.

"No waverly we-"

"Don't lie to me nicole because I know when you're lying!"

"We dated!" I blurted out and all went quiet.

"What.." waverly spoke  Full of disbelief.

"When you and and I had our break, when we split for awhile..I was mourning and Wynonna  looked after me and we got close...I promise it only lasted for the couple months we were split up then I ended it." Waverly just stared at us both.

"So Wynonna when you were coming round looking after me...saying how you were there for me and how nicole was dumb to let me go...you were hooking up with Nicole?"

"Waverly I'm sorry..." Wynonna voice was weak.

"No I don't want to hear it..get out...both of you get out now"
