What have I done?

Hey guys, I know I've been gone for a while but I feel like you deserve a chapter. Here you go, enjoy the chapter.

Y/N POV
What have I done? Did I really just push him away because of a stupid kiss? I can feel my whole world crumbling down around me, first I lost my best friend and now I push Elijah away. He was my only hope and now he's gone.

I grabbed my phone and DMed Elijah.
@Y/N: Hey Elijah I'm sorry I didn't mean it
@Y/N: If u read this pls message me back cause right now it feels like my entire world is crumbling down around me
@_lijebest: R u ok do u need me to come back and stay with u I mean if it's ok with u
@Y/N: I would love that and maybe we can try to figure everything out between us
@_lijebest: Yeah that's cool I'll see u in a few minutes

Elijah's POV
Did she really just send me a heart emoji? Oh well, I'll talk to her about it when I see her. As I was rushing down the stairs, I bumped into someone.
"Ow!" I yelled as I slipped down the stairs.
"Sorry Sketch, why are you in such a hurry?" Alex asks as he brushes himself off and comes to help me up.
"I'm going to see Y/N." I replied.
"Don't get hurt ok, you know what happened when you last had a girlfriend." Alex said staring me in the eyes.

*Flashback*
"I'll always love you Clarissa, even when things get tough."
"I'll always love you Elijah. I'm going to get a drink, I'll be back in a minute." She said as she walked away.

She had been gone for a while so I decided to go to the drinks table. When I got there, I was speechless. There was Clarissa, kissing another dude, and I'm not going to lie, she looked happier.My heart felt as if had been shattered into a million little pieces.
"Clarissa?" I asked through sobs. She instantly turned around to me with a shocked expression on her face.
"Sketch...I...it isn't what it looks like!" She yelled back through sobs.
"So it doesn't look like my girlfriend is cheating on me with a one of my friends!" I scream at her avoiding all eye contact.
"I'm leaving and we're done! Don't call me, don't text me and never EVER come back into my life!" I could tell that hurt her because she sank to the floor and sobbed into her legs.

And with that I walked away, never to see her ever again!

*End of flashback*

Time skip to Y/N's house (still Elijah's POV)
Before I could even knock on the door, Y/N opened the door and pulled me in for a hug. I hugged back and I felt her bury her face in my chest. I just stood there until she was ready to let go.

She lead me to her kitchen and we started to make small talk.
"So Elijah, do you have a job?" She asked me while making pancakes.
"Well, I'm a youtuber. Do you have a job?" I ask her, returning the question.
"I would love to be a youtuber that posts song covers." She answers while placing a plate in front of me. She smiles at me and passes me the maple syrup.

We spent the day chatting and laughing at each others corny jokes, and I will say, her laugh makes my heart melt.

Y/N POV
People always say love at first sight doesn't exist. If that was true, that means I wouldn't have feelings for Elijah. I know we only just met, but I feel like I've known him all my life. I was staring into his eyes, daydreaming about him.
"Y/N! Y/N to earth!" Elijah yells snapping me back to reality.
"Um... Sorry, I was thinking about something." I replied back.
"Thinking about what?" He asked inquisitively.
"You know what, I won't lie to you. I was daydreaming about you." I said back, with a very serious look on my face.

Elijah's POV
"Y/N, you know what, I won't lie either. I like you." I told her while staring into her eyes. She looked at me as her face little up.
"But the thing is, what would people say if I dated someone I just met?" She asked me as her smile faded away.
"Let them say what they want. At the end of the day, for as long as we're happy, they should understand. So, Y/N, will you be my girlfriend?" I asked her.
"Elijah, I can't. You don't understand right now, but eventually I will tell you I promise. There's been things that have happened and they've made it that I can't properly move on." She said while fiddling with her fingers.
"I will wait for you no matter how long it takes." I say as I look back up at her. She looks at me then back at the floor. I always get hurt, I suppose that's always how it's going to be.

We both got up and headed towards the front door. Before I left, I hugged her as if I was afraid to let go and lose the only girl I care about. It felt as if she was slipping through my fingers and it wouldn't be long before I lose her. I knew it was easy to lose people and I wouldn't let it happen this time.

I walked back to my car and sat down. I waved at her as she headed back inside and closed the big oak door behind her. I placed my head on the steering wheel and cried, knowing I could lose her. I eventually pulled off of her drive way and drove away into the night.
