Chapter 5

The party was mainly friends and family, all were creatures. The group had a wonderful time getting to know the trusted. Hermione, Ginny, and Luna decided to make a list of the guests and their creatures.

'Guest List:

Severus Snape - Vampire

Remus Lupin - Werwolf

Sirus Black - Grim

Minerva McGonagall - Kneazle

Pomona Sprout - Garden Fairy

Poppy Pomfrey - Healing Fairy

Filius Flitwick - Goblin

Lee Jorden - Fire Imp (Niffler ability)

Augusta Longbottom - Fairy'

These were just the people they recognized. After the party, they asked their parents and godparents some questions.

"Why did you act as you did?" Luna asked her father.

"To keep from going to Azkaban like your Aunt Bella and Uncle Siri. I kept in contact with the others that were able to avoid Azkaban. We ended up coming up with a sort of code to communicate. Like your 1st year, Ginny, I gave you the journal to ensure panic in the school but, the main reason was to get rid of Dumbledore. Hagrid was just a bonus. I never meant to hurt Ginny or Hermione." Lucius replied.

"Okay, that makes sense. But, weren't you a Deatheater?" Hermione asks slightly confused.

"Yes, I was as was your mother. We were undercover since Dumbledore created Voldemort. We were the first ones he 'recruited'. He changes the ideology of his followers by dulling out the instinct to fight for what we believe. The only reason he didn't turn us is that all creatures have a natural barrier in their minds. We also have a secondary mind that we activate if we are in danger of being discovered. It also activates immediately if an enemy of creatures is nearby." He responded.

"What was the code you created?" Fred asks while pulling Hermione closer.

"For your father, it was simply commenting on the money. He would do 'raids' to make sure we could talk in private. For Remus, it was as simple as teasing and calling him 'mutt'. He knew that I was implying to keep his secret. For McGonagall, it was easy to do because I could send her an owl with an encrypted message and she would send one back. All the Slytherin creatures use this." He replied smiling.

"How did you know about Remus' condition?" Hermione asked while laying her head on Fred's chest.

"The Marauders were not the only pranksters at Hogwarts. Peter was the only prankster that wasn't a creature. James was a Fire Imp and Lily was a Fairy. It was common for Muggle-Borns to have a creature or a Squib ancestor. It was a sort of game between pranksters to do an elaborate month-long prank on the school. There were 2 big pranking groups, the Marauders and the United. Everyone knew the Marauders were Gryffindors. Only the  Marauders knew who was in the United." Sirus told his Goddaughter.

"How come we've never heard of any of the other pranking groups? Who was in the United? Why were they called United?" George asks.

"Dumbledore didn't want to have to learn more than one pranking group's style again. He never knew who was in the United so, they were the ones to prank the teachers. As for who was in the United, well let's see there was Lily, Severus, Lucius, and your father, Arthur. They called it United because it was a truce between Slytherin and Gryffindor students." Remus replied for Sirius.

"Cool,"  Fred and George said in unison.

"Dad never told us that he pulled pranks at school," Ginny said

"Where do you think I learned to hide things from even the most prying people?" Arthur asked

"Alright, go get some sleep, all of you. You are to room with your mate as a safety precaution." Narcissa said.

"This had been in place at Hogwarts until it was no longer required to take the test. The requirement was that you had to room with your mate when you found them and it would protect you. Dumbledore got rid of that the year after 'the fall of Voldemort'." McGonagall told her students.

It is July 1st, the day they get their Hogwarts letter. When they got their mail that morning the kids noticed a familiar owl.

"Hey, isn't that Hermes, Percy's owl," Neville asked the twins.

"Yeah, it is. I wonder what he wants." Fred says reaching for the owl. He unties the letter and gives Hermes a treat before he flys off. Fred opens the letter and reads it quickly to himself before handing it to his father. Arthur begins to read it aloud:

"Dear family,

I know I was never a good brother (or son) but, I would like to rekindle our relationship. I know of the divorce and would like to say I love Mum but, she had it coming. If we are able to rekindle I would kindly ask to be let back in the family. I will do the requirements Dad has set to be a Weasley. I will not question what you and your friends are up to as long as I know you are safe and I only get pranked once every 3 months.

"What do you think we should do?" George asked his friends. 

"Give it a try. After all, he is still family." Luna told her mate and his family. The others agreed. 

"I will inform the  Malfoys and your godparents of the arrangement with Percy at lunch. Go enjoy the rest of the day. Let Memsy or Jarby know if you need anything." Artur says when the kids started to go outside. "I need to tell Bill and Charlie about this meetup."  

"Let's go outside," Draco suggested.

"Sounds good to me," Hannah agrees.
