I don't get drunk or high. Ever. Because me normally is basically the amount of crazy people are when they're drunk.
Me on sugar is much worse.
And I've been on sugar highs before.
They just get crazier and crazier.
"WHAT UP IT KAYKAY AND R IN DE HOUSE! C'MON REMUS, SAY IT WITH ME, REMUS IN THE HOUUUUSE!" He covered his face with a book. "Are you drunk?"
"NAH, MATE, UNLESS SUGAR IS ALCOHOLICLIKCLIKCEALIC. HEY, C'MON, JUST ONCE AND I'LL FORCE MYSELF TO CALM DOWN." He sighed. "Remus in the house," he mumbled, blushing furiously.
Darn, didn't think that would work. I took a deep breath. Then another. And another. I didn't stop until I realized I was light headed. Calm. Inner peace and shit.
I sat on the floor in the lotus position. Remus looked at me. "Hey, you're meditating! I know how to do that!" He got on the floor next to me. I opened my eyes for a moment to magic some music on.
I needed a plan.
To get Remus to like me for more than a friend.
I mean, he's perfect; sweet and kind and smart, too. And funny. We're two weirdos meditating at a party where everyone's getting drunk. And laid. Like, I can hear Sirius in the closet next to us right now.
Ew.
I grabbed Remus' hand, before having a second thought and grabbed his sleeve instead. "Let's go to McDonald's. I mean, somewhere else. I can hear Sirius and some girl moaning in that closet."
He stood up, scratching his head. "I don't know, James might-"
I cut him off. "C'mon, Remus, you'll be able to read without constantly hearing moans," I said. "Besides, the common room is funner, because . . . . it . . . . is."
He's so adorable.
"Remus, I just want to let you know I'm holding back a squeal."
"Why?"
I don't blush. I'm not a wimp.
"Reasons. Shall we go to the kitchens?"
As we walk down the corridor, I grab his hand.
"One reason."
