"[Y/N]! Earth to [Y/N]???" Myeong-Eun sang, a slightly confused look crossing his face as he realised that the usually attentive, eager to learn girl had spaced out.

"[Y/N]! Wake up!" He groaned, trying a few more times to her attention before a small, audible sigh escaped his plump lips as he eventually took to his last resort— kicking the poor girl under the table.

A small "bang" was heard as the boy continuously kicked the girl to his right, accidentally missing and hitting her chair a few times, before managing to kick the girl back to reality— earning him a small "ouch" as the girl pouted, softly hitting his arm as a form of "revenge".

"What was that for?" She whined, her pout becoming more prominent as she rubbed her leg in hopes that the dull pain would subdue.

"It's not my fault you were daydreaming during potions!" The brunet boy started, his mouth opening once again as he prepared to lecture his friend. However, his little rant was short-lived as Professor Slughorn decided it'd be a good idea to call on [Y/N]; ultimately interrupting Myeong-Eun's heated speech.

"Miss Goldstein, since you seem to be more well-versed in potions than most of your classmates, would you care to explain what Felix Felicis is?" Professor Slughorn inquired the girl, a small, kind glint played in his eyes as he— and everyone else— awaited her answer.

[Y/N] inwardly thanked the professor for saving her from Myeong-Eun's short-lived wrath and stood up, a shy smile dancing on her crimson lips as she softly spoke up.

"Felix Felicis, otherwise known as "Liquid Luck" makes the drinker lucky for a certain amount of time." She sited, bowing respectfully at Professor Slughorn before sitting back down.

"You're smarter than I thought, Hufflepuff." A low voice called beside her, a hint of surprise laced into the monotone voice many girls— and professors— had come to know and love.

"Oh! Hello there, Tom!" The girl smiled kindly, a bright smile gracing her fair features as she turned to face the boy, "I almost didn't see you there!"

The boy's neutral expression falters slightly, not having expected the girl to flash him one of the most bright, sunshine-filled smiles he'd ever seen.

"I usually don't sit at the back." He replied, gaining his composure as he turned his attention back towards Professor Slughorn— wanting to both end the, in his opinion, awkward conversation and stay on Slughorn's good side.

The girl frowned slightly, only having wanted to be nice to the boy since it seemed like he didn't have many close friends, but she soon let it go, taking the hint and focusing on the lesson.
