The next day went pretty smoothly. I had trained with Natasha and Wanda was helping me control my powers. Unfortunately, I hadn't been alone with Tony so I couldn't complete my mission. In fact, I hadn't seen him all day. I noticed Bucky had been keeping an eye on me, but as far as I know he hadn't told anyone anything. Steve had gave me a long talk about truth and honour which I almost fell asleep through. At the moment, however, it was night. I planned to carry out the side mission to go to Vancouver and find clues as to 'Deadpool's' whereabouts. I check the time, 1:37 in the morning, everyone should be asleep. I sneak out of the window and carefully glide to the ground. I decide to run, to feel a sense of adrenaline.

I reach Vancouver in almost no time, finding the place where the article said he had been sighted. I step closer to the public parking garage before something stops me. I hear a noise. Confused, I look to the sky. Nothing. The noise stops. I freeze, unsure what to do. "Sneaking out again y/n?" I turn to find Iron Man standing behind me and I inwardly curse. "It's not like I'm doing anything bad" I reply confidently. "Maybe. But I wouldn't know that. You're a secretive person and you sneaking out gives me bad vibes. Besides, you seem to be going into an empty public parking garage. You could be conspiring against the Avengers for all I know. Wouldn't you say I have a right to be suspicious" he points out and I stop for a second. This could be the perfect end for my mission. Tony Stark found dead in a random parking garage in Vancouver, the perfect murder.

I hear something move behind me, or more someone. Tony doesn't seem to hear the noise. I have a choice. Complete Hydra's mission here and now, or figure out my own personal mission. "You have a point but I can confidently say I'm not here out of any act against you or the rest of the Avengers. I'm simply here for a personal issue" I respond, carrying my head high, I wasn't lying. "What are you looking for here?" Tony asks, satisfied with my answer. A purpose, I answer his question in my head. "I'm trying to figure out why my blood couldn't be read" I only speak the truth. He nods thoughtfully before his helmet disappears. He looks at me genuinely. "Can I do anything to help?" his words are sincere, realising that not knowing something about yourself can really affect you. "Probably not, but thanks. I just think this may be a solo mission" it's not that I don't want his help, I just don't want him to care about me.

Only now do I realise how tired he looks. Under eye bags clear as day even in the night, hair all tousled. He truly was worn out. "You look exhausted" I say softly, not meaning it in an insulting way. "I am. But it's fine" he replies with a weary smile. "Forgive me if it's not my place to ask, but where were you all day?" I ask, watching him raise an eyebrow. "So formal, but I was just busy. Sorry I didn't get to see you practise. Nat tells me you're good at following instructions. She likes you" his apology catches me off guard, why would he apologise? Also, I silently laugh at his statement about Natasha. Fat chance she likes me. "You don't need to apologise, as you said, you were busy" he shakes his head then steps up to talk to me. "My dad never really gave me a lot of support, I'm just trying to break the cycle of shame" as he said the words, a weird glitch happened behind him.

I step back in shock and Tony gives me a concerned look. "Are you okay? You look like you've just seen a ghost, Ava Starr isn't here is she?" he jokes but something in my brain clicks. How did he know who Ava Starr was? How did I know who she was? And how did I know that he wasn't supposed to know? I quickly paste on a smile. "Ah, no, I just- I just blacked out" I lie and he looks at me with an ever more concerned look. "Are you sure you're okay?" he asks and I nod. "Absolutely fine, I just need to take a moment. Do you mind just giving me a few seconds?" He nods slowly and walks away, giving me some space. I think of why the glitch seemed familiar and suddenly it hits me. It looked exactly like the article that came up when I searched Wade Wilson. My brain races, what was going on? I check my phone, debating calling Hydra.

In my state of panic I didn't notice Tony come back and when he put a hand on my shoulder it caught me off guard. In alarm, I raise my arm and his hand stops. I look to where my arm was. Tony wasn't moving. No. He was stuck as if frozen in time, hand still on my shoulder and mouth slightly open as if he were going to say something. I stumble back in fright, I'd never froze anyone. "T-tony?" my voice comes out as small. "He's not gonna reply kid" I spin around, ready to attack but the person I'm facing takes me by surprise. "Deadpool?" the suit was exactly the same as in the pictures. "Top of the mornin' to ya" he replies jokingly and I frown. "Who are you and why'd you say he won't reply?" I demand and he puts his hands up feigning fear. "Easy there tyke" I frown at the nickname and raise an eyebrow. He sighs through the mask.

"I'll explain who I am in just a minute, but it's not really a big priority. What is a priority is the fact that you just froze time and I'll take a bet that you have no idea how to unfreeze it" I glare at him. "What do you mean froze time?" I half shout. He groans. "It's pretty straightforward. Time was moving, you stopped it" he shrugs. "So why aren't you frozen, or me?" I ask. "Because I'm not from this place and you have the control therefore you can't freeze, but as long as time is frozen where you are, you don't age" he explains and I frown. "And I suppose you're just an expert at time freezing?" my sarcastic words don't seem to affect the man because he just shakes his head. "Nope. But I'm a master wall breaker and dimension traveller" his reply shakes me. This dude was crazy. "Right, don't get me wrong, you seem lovely. But this is bullshit. There's no proof time is frozen" he drops his head and mutters something to himself before coming up to me and grabbing my phone from my pocket.

Before I can react he shows me the screen. It said there was a notification from Peter a few hours ago but what concerned me most that the time still read the same from right before I froze Tony. Also, my phone wouldn't respond no matter how many buttons I pushed. Then something clicks. "Wait- you just said you weren't from this place. Is it only Vancouver that's frozen?" I ask and he sighs again. "You're really dumb. You can't just freeze one place. When I said I'm not from here, I mean I'm literally not from this dimension" he answers and I stare at him. "Dimension?". He slumps his shoulders in defeat.

"You're coming with me really quick. Don't blame me if you're brain explodes" his gloved hand grabbed my arm and there was a flash of light. Where I appear is a different place altogether. A different country, time and life. But what shocks me more than the weird sense of foreignness in the situation, is what I see in front of me.

"Is that... me?"
