"What's going on y/n!?" Tony yells accusingly. I start to panic and try to break the glass, no use. "They're here! Get out!" I shout and the realisation dawns on his face, this wasn't a joke. "Clint! Get the others! Hydra's invaded" he calls to Clint and I watch as he runs away. "You have to get out of here, please!" I scream and Tony looks at me, I was hurt when I saw the betrayal in his eyes. "I wouldn't be in this situation if it weren't for you" he mutters then looks at the button that'll let me out. He looks away, deciding to keep me contained. He'll lose, I know he will. He's not in his iron suit. Peter however, is still in his spidey suit. He looks at Tony and then back at me, scared. "Let her out, she could help" Peter speaks up and Tony sighs, bracing himself while looking back at the boy. "Or she could be tricking us" he says softly and Peter looks at me with a heartbroken look in his eyes. 

I look at my leg, the wound had pretty much healed thanks to my powers. I look back at Peter and whisper to him. "Don't worry about me, get Tony out of here". He nods sadly and grabs Tony's arm. Without the suit, Tony couldn't do anything about Peter grabbing him. As Peter runs with him to the door, it slams shut. I turn and gasp. My commander, Andrei Beichler, stands with a gun aimed at Tony. Behind him, I see Hunter. He looks nothing like I remember him. The loving cheerful kid had taken a serious edge and he had gained some muscle and hardened up. He looked like a warrior, I realised. A fifteen year old warrior. His gaze quickly flicks to me, and I swear I see some sadness, but it's quickly gone as he looks back at Tony and Peter. "Move one inch boy and I blow out his brains" Andrei warns Peter and then he motions for Hunter to aim his gun at Tony.

Then Andrei steps up to where I am in the glass. "You were caught?" he seems disbelieving, I was after all, Hydra's best assassin. "Seems like it" I snap, he notices my change in team and raises his eyebrows. "Disloyalty never does anyone good y/n, I'll deal with you later" he turns away then approaches where Peter is still holding Tony's arm, but now it was more out of support. Tony acts surprisingly calm. "What can I do for you?" he asks politely while putting a comforting hand on the shaking Peter. "Shut up Stark, we have you surrounded" Hunter spits and I frown. He'd changed so much. "You and what army?" he looks between the two. "We don't need an army to take out a mortal man, you think too much of yourself Stark" Andrei laughed mockingly then looked at Peter. "So this is the famous Spider-Man, a kid" Peter looks away, clearly petrified.

"I must apologise, after all, you're a worldwide hero. To lose you would leave the world broken, but everything has to break at one point. Rest in peace Iron Man" Peter stood in shock as Andrei raises the gun to aim it at Tony's head. Before he can pull the trigger the door breaks down. Steve stands in the entryway with Natasha and Clint. Nat and Steve are wearing normal clothes but Steve has his shield and Nat has her knives and gun. Steve wasted no time saving his 'boyfriend'. But to our dismay, Andrei had two men hiding behind Hunter. Natasha and Clint raced to defend their teammate and Tony quickly grabbed his watch which turned into a blaster.

While the fight was going on, Peter snuck to the button behind everyone. He looked me in the eyes and with determination in his eyes, he pressed the button. A panel of glass silently slid up and I crept out. I instantly realise that Hunter has been left unattended, he looks around and sees me. With a sly smile he approaches me before holding his gun up towards me. "What happened to you?" I ask and he shrugs. "I took your advice, I accepted Hydra as my life" he spat and I frown, regretting what I had told him all that time ago. I hear the gun click and I bring up my arms. The mist hits all four of the Hydra men in the room and knocks them to the ground. 

From what I can see, one of the two men had died before he hit the ground. Andrei's skull cracked open as he was knocked down and it was clear he was never getting back up again. The last guy stayed alive but then Natasha finished him with a shot to the head. I go stand in front of the few Avengers assembled in front of me and look Tony in the eyes. "I'm sorry" I simply say. He nods, trying to process the power I had just shown. "Apology accepted" he mumbles and I turn to Steve. "If it's alright by you, I'll take my leave" I say and he frowns, leaning on his shield. "Where will you go? You told us you have nowhere" he asks and I shrug. "I'll find a place, I don't want to put you all in danger" I reply softly and I see him look at me sadly.

"No. Stay here. Our job is to fight danger, not avoid it. But you need to tell us your full story. No details missed" he decides and my eyes widen. He'll accept me even after all that? "What happens if one of you get killed because of my Hydra past?" I query, I wouldn't be able to handle that guilt. "We'd walk it off" he replies stubbornly and I nod. "Thank you" he gives me a smile at my words and then stops leaning on his shield. "I'll need to grab stuff to clean up" he says and Natasha and Clint follow him out. Nat gives me a look and I know she'll be having a talk with me after I was excused. Peter is further back in a corner but when he tries to secretly leave, Tony raises his hand. "You let her out?" he directs the question to Peter. "Y-yeah Mr Stark" I hear Peter's nerves start to show. There's a slight silence before Tony cracks a smile at the boy. 

"Good thinking kid, you saved me" I swear I saw Peter's confidence boost right there on the spot and he grins. "No problem Mr Stark". "You're dismissed young buck, go see your friends" he claps him on the back but as Peter begins to leave, a gun clicking noise fills the room. As if in slow motion, we all become aware of Hunter's gun aimed at Tony right as he pulls the trigger. In a moment of instinct I jump in front of Tony and bring up my hands. A bright light happens and I feel a pain in my chest. The light fades and then there's a darkness. A few moments pass before I hear voices, distant, like their from far away.

"Who is she? Where'd she come from?" 

"I don't know. But she's injured, we need to get her medical help immediately"

"Is that a bullet!?"

"Yes. Wherever she just appeared from, it wasn't friendly. Now come on"

Everything disappears. 

What feels like years later I hear a voice I'd never heard. The voice of a small girl.

"She's waking up mummy".

Then a voice I remember clearly.

"Get Uncle Happy sweetie, there's something he needs to see".
