1 year later: London
"Luna's right Hugh, we could be onto something here."
"Do you have any idea of what you're saying, Max? This isn't a game of see who can catch the murder first. We are dealing with someone who has been wanted for over twenty years." Hugh said.
"Precisely, Hugh." Max stood up. "We've been watching him for over five years and we haven't done a single thing! Is your plan to just have us watch him for the rest of our lifes?"
"We're not watching, we're waiting for the perfect time to attack." Hugh added.
"And when will that be, detective Bond, when?" Max questioned.
"Look, we know you don't want to just rush into this, but we have nothing to loose." I told Bond.
"How about our lives? Our jobs? That's nothing to you, Luna?"
"Yeah, yeah it is." I started at him. "The only reason I'm here is because I made it my life goal to find all three of those bastards," I pointed to the pictures in the middle of the table. "Who killed my mom. I've got nothing to loose. I'm asking for help, not cooperation." I looked away.
"This plan can really work." Max continued.
"Or this plan can really back fire!" Bond screamed.
We all stayed silent. "I'm doing it." I stood up.
"I'm going with her." Max walked over to me. "He's gotta pay, Hugh. I didn't go into criminal justice to watch the killer of my wife live the life of a millionaire. I'm sorry."
"Keep doing what you're doing. I'll give you some credit when we catch him." I nodded and we both left.
