Luna's POV

"Giselle," I showed her Gorden's office. "I know how much it sucks being an intern." I laughed.

"It's not bad, trust me."

"You don't have to lie to me. I've been in your shoes. Lying doesn't look good, Gigi. All they make you do is paperwork and blah blah blah." I said.

"I mean," she nodded. "It kind of sucks."

"I know." I pointed to a cabinet. "Guess what you have to do today?"

"Paperwork?" She groaned.

I nodded.

"Ugh," she nodded. "Alright."

"But, I'm helping you, that way you can leave early."

"Luna, you don't-"

"But I am." I laughed and opened up the drawer. "I don't want you to suffer like I did."

"You're such an angel, Luna. Thank you."

"No worries, Gorden wants the files with Smigel, Krause, and Smith addressed on them. I'll check the drawers and you check those cabinets over there." I ordered.

I remember placing thousands of files on the empty table beside me, but as I was organizing the files, one in particular caught my attention. Anders, Jason was printed on the top of the file. Curiosity got the best of me and I opened the file. As soon as I saw the headline, "Skinned Alive", I immediately knew it was about my mother. Jason Anders, the man who was convicted of murder for he was found dead at the scene of my mom's homicide. Sources say he committed suicide, since he had a gun in his hand when he was found dead.

I remember panicking and closing the file. My heart rate increased and I started to feel disorientated. Underneath that file, laid Zayn's file, which I had already snooped through. After Zayn's file, one with Ellis, Solis, Young written across the top was next. I remember not being able to breathe, like something was stuck in my throat, but it gets worse. Cooke, Styles, Tomlinson in black ink was written across the next file. The same names I heard Gorden tell my dad.

"Luna," Gigi startled me.

"Jesus," I turned around. "Don't scare me like that. What?"

"I, uh, found the files." She showed me the manila folders.

"Right, uh," I took them from her. "I'll uh, go deliver them to Gorden. I finished organizing most of them, finish the rest and you can go after you're done."

"Alright, thanks!"

I didn't grow the courage to open any of the files that laid in front of me until a week later, when I got an envelope at work.

"For me?" I asked Gigi.

She nodded and left.

Later that day when I went home, I opened the envelope. I must admit, it looked a bit sketchy. It only had Luna Solis written on the front no return address or anything. When I opened the envelope, several pictures of a women I've never seen before in my life fell to the floor followed by a piece of paper. The letter said and I quote, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry for disappointing you. I'm sorry for everything that has happened. I'm sorry I wasn't there for you when you needed me, but most of all I'm sorry for letting you and your mother down. You deserve to have your questions answered. You deserve to know what beautiful person your mother was and still would have been. I loved Jamie, Luna. I still love her till this day. Your brother or sister along with your mother would be proud of the person you have become, like I am. There is still so much for you to discover. I attached a few pictures of the women who gave birth to you. Take care Luna and do us all a favor and find those three remaining assholes. Love, Zayn."

I gotta say, not only did I find out what my mother looked like, but if I wouldn't of gotten that letter I wouldn't be were I am today, in London, with my "mate", Hugh Bond.
